Canceled my un-shipped Amazon order today and picked the Trilogy up at Best Buy today for only .04 cents more ...:D
My next problem was finding the time to start the journey. Well, I made the time. 120 min down, only 563 min. to go ... :D
Exactly... Came damn close to buying the Bootleg Seasons 1, 2, & 3 last week, just so I could complete the series. It's not like Universal is giving me much choice?
Kolchak: The Night Stalker - Season 1 (and the only one)
Night Gallery - Season 1 (which looks like the only season we're going to see)
Jack of All Trades Season 1 (starring Bruce Campbell the one season wonder)
Parker, for the cases you need a 1" spine. Don't think the 5 DVD cases comes in 1". You could buy 10 of the 6 DVD cases here for $9.99 plus shipping and They're made very well. Personally, what I did was I bought a 10 pack of the 8-DVD cases. I used 5 for the Twilight Zone, removing one storage...
Hey Marco. Here is a quick and dirty screen shot of all 5 covers, they have a 1" spine and fit the cases in the link below. If you want them let me and I'll point you to Ric's site where you can download them. He hasn't put them on the main download page yet, you can only get them from a forum...
Yeah, I did. The person I was dealing with wanted me to send my defective case to them to examine. Didn't feel like paying for postage to California, trekking to the Post Office, and then getting the same crappy packaging back. After, I told them nevermind, she offered to send me some Chuck...
Ready to take One Step Beyond and purchase a set and from what I've read, I'll probably be sucking in dirt by the time this show ever gets a proper release. OK, I know the 12 DVD Delta Set has the most episodes at 49 which I found for $60, but then Delta has another 8 DVD Set with 33 Episodes...
The copy I picked up at Walmart had a green sticker on the outer box which said includes 6 Films. They left out the fantastic part for obvious reasons.
Was pricing out the Space 1999 A&E Mega-Box just last week. Thanks for the heads-up. The new transfers look outstanding. Glad I didn't pull the trigger on the old set. Guess I'll put this back in the queue of DVDs I want until someone in these parts puts out the new release in R1-land.
Kevin, you can still order the 25th SE from ....... http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2....cid=60488&fp=F http://www.dvdpacific.com/item.asp?ID=3229 and I agree with you about the 2- Disc-er. Possibly the Anthology is a way for Warner to test the waters. If the Antholgy sells well, then...
The Logo is Warner Bros 75 years entertaining the world ....not red. Picked it up at Walmart today for $29.99 and no breaks for me Robert you lucky bastard. :)
Not even close, paid $174 for the Complete Set with a coupon from Overstock.com and it's $194.00 at DeepDiscountDVD, free-shipping, no tax. So it's about $100 from your ballpark.
tzonefan, I contacted Image a few days ago and they requested links to the forums where people are talking about the packaging issue. I gave them a link to this thread. So hopefully they're serious about this.
Fonzo, I am very glad that you received your set in one piece. As soon as I opened mine, the trays fell out, 2 seasons the first day, another season the second day. And I didn't drop kick the package before I opened it. I also frequent 2 other forums where more than a few people are reporting...
I would encourage anyone who is having a problem with the Packaging to post your concerns here. I received an email from Image requesting links as to which forums I got my information from and they appear to be concerned, which is a good thing.
Well, you were right Bill. Looks like they should include a free hot glue gun with every purchase. I dug my cheap little Hot Glue Gun out of the garage where it's been for at least 7 years and never used. It actually worked and it attached the tray solid as a rock. PS - Also sent emails to...
Tried using a super Super Glue Gel that's works on all the kids toys. Didn't work on my toy. After cracking the spine a few times, it fell out again. Part of the card casing was also ripped from the tray coming out.
Your exactly right, they open book-style with 4-5 trays glued to the cardboard spine which is the problem. You open the book and the spine starts to crack like a book. The discs do not overlap. Packaging must be cheaper considering what's going on. I would actually like the packaging if it...
John, my set was waiting for me when I got home from CompUSA picking up some extra double-slimline cases for this set. Glad I did. As others have experienced, 2 of the seasons had trays that just fell out when opened. DVD's all look good though. Tried re-attaching them with Super Glue Gel which...
Donnie, it does. It includes the Exorcist Special Edition with all the extras and the TVYNSB. The first 1,000 units sold also come with a real snazzy Exorcist Beer Coaster that has "Exorcist II: The Heretic" printed on the label. :) Best price I can find is $26.99 on Amazon. Not a bad deal...
My set's in the mail at the moment and from what I've read so far, it's going to need repackaging. So I'm putting them all into 15 double slimline cases, 3 per season. Yeah, I know 2 seasons are 5 disc sets. I'm doing this for uniformity. I've used Ric Easton's Cover designs and just did a...
Craig, they may look cooler, but in another forum the guys are trashing the packaging. They aren't in slipcases. Apparently, each season comes in one of those book-style - jewel trays where they're attached to the spine by tape. One person says his are falling apart already. How did you make...
