When CLEOPATRA is released I hope that they place the opening music for second half at the start of the second disc where it belongs instead of at the end of the first disc.

I am really glad to hear this. I found that the black levels on the dvd during the murder scenes were very weak. Sounds like that might of been fixed.

Will we ever see an anamorphic MOUNTAINS OF THE MOON ? I see that Lionsgate carries this title on their web site. They did just release a new Chaplin, so maybe there is hope.

This might just be the greatest film ever made . First saw it during a trip to New York in the sixties. Saw part one during the afternoon and part two in the evening. There has not been anything like it since and no doubt never will be again. Yes I do have the widescreen dvd but lets be honest...

I just finished watching this John Wayne film from 1963 and all I can say is that this is one of the best transfers I have ever seen. Colors and sharpness are outstanding. No restoration needed here.Also check out True Grit, another great transfer in the John Wayne collection.

I remember seeing Airport at the Radio City Music Hall in TODD-AO when it first came out and was very impressed with the TODD-AO image. Do you think the TODD-AO elements still exist, and if so who might have them. It would be nice to see a new 65mm transfer onto dvd someday, but I doubt that...

My understanding is that the dvds of CLEOPATRA-MY FAIR LADY and DOCTOR DOLITTLE were from 35mm sources. In that case, will we ever see new transfers from 65mm sources, considering that new Todd-AO prints were struck for CLEOPATRA and DOCTOR DOLITTLE.

Warner really needs to release a special edition of Michael Collins. There is no excuse to have a flipper disc and non anamorphic in this day and age. This is a fine film and maybe since Neil Jordons last film was released by Warner,(Brave One)maybe he can convince Warner to release a special...

I looked at the dvd and shows a globe with the word "all" which must be all regions.

I just finished watching the Pal 4 dvd of 1492 and it is quite a good dvd. What I can not figure out is that it plays on my Pioneer dv 400 player but region 2 will not play on it. Whats up with that?

Its a shame that this wonderful film from director Rhanda Haines [Childran of a Lesser God] and starring Richard Harris and Robert Duvall is still not on dvd.

GOODBYE MR CHIPS was not filmed in 70mm. It is a 35mm blowup to 70mm. I saw it in its roadshow engagment in 1969.

Warner talked about releasing GOODBYE MR CHIPS [1969] sometime in 2008. I am beginning to think its not coming out this year. I hope I am wrong.

Is CLEOPATRA dvd then from a 70mm source? It does have the TODD-AO logo. Since I believe SOUND OF MUSIC -HELLO DOLLY among others are from 70mm sources since they have aspect ratios of 2:20. And then there is MY FAIR LADY with an aspect ratio of 2:35. Is this from 35mm or 70mm source? Pesonally...

In the last couple of years Fox has struck new TODD-AO prints of CLEOPATRA and DOCTOR DOLITTLE. It would be nice to see new dvd transfers of these films from the 70mm sources. HAIR one of my favorite films is still not in anamorphic. Same for MICHAEL COLLINS which is also a flipper! Come on MGM and Warner these films deserve better.

This great film directed by Richard Attenbough with all star British castn needs to get on region 1 dvd.
