My parents just got a samsung sound bar (hwk450) and I have tried every code I have found and none of them are working with their cox URC-8820-CISCO remote. Can anyone possibly help me so that they don't need the extra remote to control the volume?
They never use that remote. Everything is controlled by the Stb remote. There is an input button or maybe its call function? Anyway, the box settings are TV/video, audio, DVD, FM, and AM. I assume audio is for the usb port
Its pretty annoying. It seems like you have to switch the input on the Htib once you get the Roku going and change it back to TV/video for the sound to work if the cable box was on before.
Can't from my phone but this is it. http://www.replacementremotes.com/SONY/Buy-RM-ADU007-RMADU007-148057011-Audio-Audio-Video-Receiver-DVD-Player.html?gclid=CN750IjpvbsCFUiGfgodr2QAlw
Both the cable and the Roku sound plays through TV/video mode on the htib. Not sure why but that's how its working. This is how its set up:Htib to TV via HDMIRoku to TV via HDMIStb to TV via HDMIHtib to Stb via digital audioRoku to Htib via an along audio
Got it working for them. Only down side is there is a pretty long delay before the sound starts after you turn on the Roku. I'm thinking its because the sound from the cable uses the same mode on the htib. They have to turn the cable box off to hear the Roku sound but it takes a good 30 seconds...
A cox guy installed the stb which is the new contour from cox so I'm sure its connected via HDMI since the old box was. The TV has 3 HDMI ports so I'm good there. All I should need is another HDMI wire to run from the htib to the Tv. The digital audio cable may already run from the htib to the...
One thing confusing me here. The Roku 2 only has and HDMI and the red, white, yellow components output on it. There isn't a place for an optical cable. Maybe I missed it and I'll check it out again but I don't remember any other options.
Sorry. Got busy at work. Is the stb you keep talking about the cable box? The TV does have 3 HDMI ports. The Roku only has the HDMI and component ports. It doesn't have anything else. Thanks again. I'll get this working soon. Lol
No, just thatbanalog and the components. I remember having a hard time when they first got the system and the sound would not come through the speakers until I connected that analog wire. Now, as far as the Roku goes I don't care much about it have full surround sound. I just want to make it...
There are component cables also going to the TV. Then an HDMI from the cable box to the TV. Should they get another hdmi for the ht? I'll verify all of this next time I'm there .
The first link is the wire they have going from the ht box to the TV already. Not sure about the other wire you linked too. That being said should I be able to use it with the ht speakers as is if I connect the Roku to the TV via HDMI? This would be a lot easier if I could be in front of the box.
I was wrong. The ht model is HAV-HDX275. Its been about 2 weeks since I looked at it so give me a break. LolNow, how can I use the Roku 2 with the ht speakers on a Sony HAV-HDX275?
The ht has a port beside the digital port that is not being used. This may be what your talking about. if my memory is good its red or orange in color.
It is a roku 2. Does that make it possible to connect it to the ht speakers? They have a Sony DAV-**** I lost the number now but maybe the DAV helps. I'll get it again when I can.
I will check that number tomorrow when I go over there. The Roku has an HDMI and a normal red, white, yellow component output. There are no extra ports for those on the back of the HDMI though.
I bought my dad a Roku 3 as a birthday gift. I went to hook it up for him this past weekend and was thinking it would take a couple seconds. Well, I can't figure out how to make the sound come from the surround sound speakers. The Home Theater box is a DVD player also and only has 1 HDMI...
I just bought a new fan and I'd like to be able to control it with my tv remote. I have a cox cable remote. The fan is a hunter model number 28676 and a remote is a $70 optional accessories so I know it can work. How would I do this?
Thanks! I looked through it and I do not see anything about making it NOT switch automatically when I turn the thing on. Could it be because I have the ipod dock plugged in? I do not have my Ipod attached to it and never have but I keep it plugged in because its a pain to get to the back of...
Sorry to bump this up again but I have another questions and I can't seem to find the manual. Every time I turn every thing on the HTS will start out at HDMI IN 1 which is what I want since that what my TV is hooked to. The problem is, after a few seconds it will switch itself to D. IN. I am...
awsome! thanks.. I looked at that button wondering what it was for but never took the time to look it up in the manual (where ever that thing went to already! lol)
at risk of sounding stupid here... where is this Dolby Prologic button? on the Samsung remote? I do not see it.. I heard the speakers on a commercial and its great! I would love to convert all sound to surround sound!
I figured that part out... I didn't set the HT box to HDMI1 which is why I had no picture. Now its all working but I am concerned about the center and the rear speakers. I do not ever hear sound come from either of them. I have Pandora Radio playing right now thinking it would def. use all...
Ok, i just did it how I mentioned above and everything is working except I have no video from the cable box even though I have the sound. Whats the deal with this? I am using an HDMI cable to connect the 2 which I thought was for video and audio...? I am confused, what am I missing?
