i would go 2600. i owned one for about 6 months and its video upconversion capabilities was awesome via hdmi. sounds great too - has a little pushing 4ohm speakers but plenty of grunt for 8 ohm ones. 2ch bypass was a little lacking but im sure it is on all avr's in this price range...
