Dunno about totaly suck, but your not getting what the ps3 offers on that set. the way i see it, why buy a ps3 to play on an analog tv. if you plan on upgrading the tv then ok, if not, makes no sense imo.

Steven, i am reading what you are saying from other users. i think the game play is the most important, i hear it is fun play. Ps3 And Xbox does have nice graphics but game play is harder, taking the fun out of it. i grew up on Nintendo, i hope it makes a good come back! i hear it will be back...

For only what,a few 200,000 being released, i'm surprised how many are on ebay. i bought a Ps3 and a WII in hopes prices will continue to climb. i wonder how many of the buyers on ebay right now are just buying them for resale. for resale, i think the week before Xmas would be the time to off it.

Chris, im also considering a Wii. did you sell the Ps3 on ebay? you think the ebayers will raise there prices as Xmas gets closer? did you use it to watch BlueRay? if so, hows the pic & sound.

Did you try it with another source like a dvd? also try selecting the optical input manually.

Anyone here get there hands on a PS3 yet? how do you like the game play? any problems? i see there going on Ebay at a nice mark up. i wonder if the prices will keep going up as Xmas nears.

So in other words, i would need a receiver that decodes Dolby HD to benefit?

Sounds as if your receiver does not have 5 channels. left, right, center, rear right, left right, sub out?

Is HD Sound a new format? watching HD broadcast it says broadcast in HD sound but my receiver says Dolby D. what is the difference? is my receiver decoding HD sound to DD?

What about the Denon 2807? Cnet rated that good for HDMI.

It automatically decodes the sound source based on speaker setup. (when you set how many speakers you have). I just up graded from a Onkyo TX SR and thats how it works. i prefer DTS when it is available.

Is what im wondering is the DD+ or TrueHD sound that much better then current DD? i myself can't tell much of a difference between the DD, DTS,ES etc.if it's DD it all sound the same to me.
