Blu-ray Review HTF BLU-RAY REVIEW: The Man with No Name Trilogy

Sorry, I was away, and sorry, maybe I sould have been more specific. Yes, DVDbeaver explained about cropping (which is a small disaster, in my opinion), but nothing about the sound issues I've mentioned. But maybe that's not important anymore, because I don't like this cropping thing, so I think...

Blu-ray Review HTF BLU-RAY REVIEW: The Man with No Name Trilogy

I've read that prior to posting here. Sorry, but nothing I need to know is there. DVDbeaver reviews are usually more detailed. Can someone please just simply tell me does blu-ray soundtrack has that distinct 'double syllabal' explosion, or changed one ("like painball pellets being fired") from...

A film similar to John Waters' films?

Ok... I saw "Damnation alley" - that's not it. In the movie I'm trying to find, 95% of time characters are in that vehicle or around it, and all time in some desert with VERY bright sun (but not Sahara-type of desert with sand dunes, more like Mad Max 1&2 type of desert). And that vehicle is...

A film similar to John Waters' films?

I've just checked those "Freeway" and "Cheerleader" films. I'm afraid that's not even close. But thanks for the effort. Now, "Damnation Alley" on the first glance really looks like it could be that other mystery film, but I was reading about it last night and it seems to me that's not it. But...

A film similar to John Waters' films?

Please forgive me for bringing back to life this very old and unproductive thread of mine, but I just can't forget about it. With so much time passed, maybe now there's someone here who could know this film...?? And while I'm here again, I have another similar question, but I believe this...

Who cares about what Tarantino likes? Anyway, you should check LUST IN THE DUST from 1985. :D

    The Spaghetti Western

Hello. Great thread Reggie. I'm fascinated with spaghetti westerns. If anyone is interested in my opinion on the ones I've seen... please keep reading. - MASTERPIECES - 1. A FISTFUL OF DYNAMITE (1971) The best spaghetti, but for me also one of the best films of all times. I still don't own...

No, of course not. :) I have it, the world's only trash-western. :)

A film similar to John Waters' films?

No. But thank you, anyway. Now I'm interested to see that film, because Lemmy (from Motorhead) has a role in "Eat the Rich". And one reviewer wrote that it's same genre as Waters' films, but better. :) Well ok, if we can't find out what the mystery film is, maybe you can recommend some other...

A film similar to John Waters' films?

Thank you for your effort. Although I haven't watched "Wild at Heart", I know that it's not the movie I'm trying to find. Here in Croatia, "Wild" is one of the best known Lynch's movies. But just to be sure, I've just checked screenshots from "Wild". I see a lot of outdoor scenes, while this...

A film similar to John Waters' films?

Hello good people. I wonder if you could help me with one strange question. Some 8-9 years ago I saw late at night one film on TV. I would very much like to get it, but I don't know ANYTHING about it. - From what I remember, the film's vibe and the aesthetics were similar to those of...

Stalingrad: Dogs, Do You Want to Live Forever?

Can anybody help me, please? I can't find anywhere subtitles for divx of this great german WWII film from 1959. It's called "Hunde, wollt ihr ewig leben" or "Stalingrad: Dogs, Do You Want to Live Forever?"

YAMATO (Japan, 2005) If you're interested in WWII, watch this great film. It's "DasBoot-style" (true story from the other side of WWII, with faceless enemy) type of movie. Visual effects could be much better, music is stolen from PC game, etc... but nevertheless - highly recommended...

Track the Films You Watch (2007)

Both (US & UK) boards are morons. So - it's ok for a 15 years old to watch "Seven", but one of my favourite (and most hilarious) comedies in the whole world, Benigni's "Johnny Stecchino" is "18"! (By the way, you shouldnt waste your time and money on BOTH of films you mentioned - "Showgirls" is...

Why is that rating system so important in America? Here, in this part of Europe, not only that nobody cares about ratings, but no-one even ever look at that numbers. (I could hardly believe when I saw my Roberto Benigni and Duran Duran DVDs rated with "18". I mean - WTF!? Idiots.)

Track the Films You Watch (2007)

I don't think this is a thread for me... I tend to have some patterns in watching the films... for example: - I put emphasis on quality, not quantity of watched films, - I extremely rare watch new films and modern Hollywood blockbusters, - I'm very interested in a few subgenres/directors...

Directors Who would be interested in an 80s movies countdown?

Police Academy and Das Boot can be compared - they both have SCRIPT, DIRECTOR and ACTORS. Elements which distinguish movies/films from recordings of live shows. The PROCESS of creating Police Academy and Das Boot is the SAME. The process of creating Police Academy and Queen Live in Budapest is...

Directors Who would be interested in an 80s movies countdown?

Using the same word (in english language!) for all those categories is one thing; but putting them together and comparing them - is illogical thing. You can compare Star Wars and LOTR - but how can you compare Star Wars to Live Aid? What Blade Runner has in common with Paul Simon's Graceland...
