I want all those Fritz Lange films. ps- just got my shipment of films from the sale. Think I'll do a double feature of Confessions of A Nazi Spy and Escape.
The Warner Archives Facebook page apparently suspended my posting privelages. I guess it stems from when I expressed my disappointment of them dumping the remaining Judy Garland films in the Archives and not giving them a legit release.
I got $100 worth of movies. This is my first time actually buying something from them. I was holding out cause I thought they'd do the value pack sets again, but I can see they're not gonna do that, so I finally gave in and plus it's a good deal. Wish I could buy $1000 worth lol.
I bought...
Why on Earth won't WHV group films together and release them as value packs i.e Hedy Lamarr, Classic Musicals, Edward G. Robinson, Norma Shearer, Lana Turner.
I wonder if the Andy Hardy series will be dumped into here? Lord knows that set would be great with a documentary, shorts, and interviews with Mickey Rooney and Ann Rutherford.
I wish they would bring more value packs back. I'd definitely order more if they did, but I'll just catch up on the sets I never bought on Amazon (they've having a ridiculous sale).
A Joan Crawford set would be nice, too with:
-Queen Bee
-They All Kissed the Bride
-Autumn Leaves
-Strait Jacket
-The Story of Esther Costello
I also heard rumors of Sony doing a Craig's Wife/Harriet Craig double feature, as well as releasing Mae West's The Heat's On and Ladies of the Chorus...
Still waiting for my Lana Turner set:
-Green Dolphin Street
-Marriage Is A Private Affair
-Slightly Dangerous
-Keep Your Powder Dry
-Weekend at the Waldorf
-Cass Timberlane
Why don't they just come out with the sets when they announce the titles. That's a great list of films, but I'm already seeing films that could be put together.
Edward G. Robinson
-The Last Gangster
-Dr. Ehrlich's Magic Bullet
-Manpower
-Two Seconds
-The Man With Two Faces
50s Musicals...
