sounds like a nice set up. I would bypass the the rw-12 though. It is a fine sub, but more can be had for less money. I have heard it side by side with others and wasn't at all impressed. My friend's svs 20-39 will absolutely embarass it. I actually liked the 10" velo dls 3750 that sat right...
If you are looking for loud mainly--I would second the cerwin vegas or any of the large traditional style floorstanders for that matter. You can get a 12 or 15" woofer. These things are capable of some seriously loud output--even with the amp you have.
congrats on your purchase--sounds like you are happy. Do you notice a huge difference between the towers and the center? I have had several different speakers in my system and I never really like it until the fronts all matched properly. You may find that you system will sound even better with...
for $200 you can get yourself one heck of a nice set of speakers right now from Velodyne. They are selling their CHT Front row system for $199 delivered (plus a free t-shirt) I have only seen one review of these, but the professional reviewer loved them hooked up to his av receiver or his 300+...
There is a world of difference between the e150p and the svs pb10. do a search and find the review done by wayne a pflughaupt in here. He compares the svs pb10, jbl e150p, velo vrp1200, infinity ps-12. The svs won easily--not even in the same league as the rest with the jbl finishing a very...
Robert, what sub is it? As I am sure you know, things have changed dramatically in the world of subs in the last 8 years. THX subs from yester-year will probably get smoked by some of today's non-THX certified monsters. Let me know what you find out. There are a couple of more scene that I...
congrats, sounds like you are very happy with your system. that is the bottom line and most important thing to keep in mind--especially when reading in here and elsewhere where everyone loves what they purchased and hate everything else. As far as feeling the sound produced by your bass...
IF you like your BOSE and I understand that--everyone is entitled to their opinion as to what sounds good to them. Plus they are very nice asthetically. The first thing I would recommend is forget the powered "bass module" and get yourself a regular subwoofer. Assuming your reciever has a...
for a room that big--especially if it is open to another room you should have started with the isd/2. If you had emailed SVS ahead of time they would have told you that the isd/2 would be the minimum. I have the +/2 in a room that is 4600 cubic feet--your room is 4000 plus the room(s) it is open...
