As Todd confirms, "The Marcus-Nelson Murders" is not part of the Season 1 Region 2 set released by Universal Playback. It is however on another Universal Playback release and this DVD is still available:

A useful site is this one that lists the contents of the German, Dutch and UK DVDs. I don't think it has been updated since 2004 but it may be of some help.
Richard, are you referring to region 1 or other regions? If other regions and if any help, looks to be available with 5.1 dolby and DTS sound tracks in the UK:- http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/33053...e/Product.html
The Season 2 episodes have recently been passed at the BBFC and "Bored She Hung Herself" is not one of them, so it looks as though the episode will not be appearing on the UK set. Would be a real surprise if it is on the Australian set.
Voranand, don't know anything about this DVD, but if any help there are a couple of sites that don't mention any cuts:- http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=2623 http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film/DVDReview/sexandlucia.htm Odd that the first one says the UK release is R0.
Larry, if any help Movies Unlimited (http://www.moviesunlimited.com/musit...asp?sku=D53244) list Oliver Hardy and Stan Laurel for the cast so it looks to be the 1934 version.
If still interested, update on the Region 2 release schedule:- Hawaii 5-O: Season 1 - available now. Streets Of San Francisco: Season 1 Part 1 - due to be released 24 September 2007. The Untouchables: Season 1 Part 1 - due to be released 24 September 2007. Cagney and Lacey: True Beginning...
The only information I know of is the new release that you mentioned - details here:- http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=6849 As far as I know the episodes are unedited.
Just had a quick check and yes did notice a drop in the sound level where you highlighted. Thought it seemed to last for just a couple of minutes but have to admit my sound system is not the best so that could explain that. Also checked the restoration intro to the film but do not get the...
Some information regarding the R2 set. Network themselves have reduced the price for November and I think they ship outside the UK:- http://www.networkdvd.co.uk/product....28&PROD_ID=428 The 18 discs are split into 9 standard sized DVD cases. Of the few episodes I have had a chance to view...
Was going to buy when it hopefully comes down in price. It looks a good set because as you point out it contains all the 71 B&W episodes and has a lot of extras.
A good article on the From Russia With Love jump cut can be found here:- http://www.dvdtalk.com/dvdsavant/s18jc3fromrus.html I was hoping that if still available on the original negatives it would be put back in but looks to be lost for ever.
Thanks for that. If a R2 release does follow and is exclusive to HMV, hopefully it will not be like the Tarzan set which does not contain the extras the R1 set has.
Jonathan, that's amazing as it is not supposed to be released until 18 April, even more so considering you live in the UK. I also dislike the digipaks that require you to remove a disc to get to a lower one so that is an annoyance. Great news regarding the transfers. Do you know if the set is...
Mara, I can't remember if the snippet of dialogue you mention is missing from the episode "Maybe, Baybe" or was never there. This episode has just been shown on UK television and it was not there either.
When there were the framing problems with the Back To The Future II and III DVD's, one site listed two contact numbers for Universal Studios. I don't know if they are still valid as this was 3+ years ago but if any help they were:- (888) 703-0010 (972) 293-5903
It seems in most cases the R2 Universal TV Box Sets are from the original materials resulting in the logos being intact, and for Seasons 2 and 3 of Quantum Leap the original music being intact. This is good, especially as you point out Jeff the R2 versions may be the only ones available and...
John, I have only just discovered this thread so the information may be way too late. If not, I have season 2 of Columbo on R2 (UK) and the original Universal logos are intact at the end.
