Very interesting Greg. Looks like the movies your link mentioned, The Color Purple, Blade Runner and Twister were all released 03-25-97. The first DVD I owned was The Matrix which I received Christmas of '99. Guess I was a little late to the party. Thanks for the info!

Watched Stargate again tonight and noticed that was released in 1997. That made it a pretty early release for the DVD format. Got me to wondering what the very first movie released on DVD was. Anyone have any ideas?

I thought I would go ahead and list some of my all time favorites that I already have: Fifth Element Kill Bill Rundown House of Flying Daggers Last Samurai Once Upon a Time In Mexico LOTR Trilogy I know some of these crossover into other genres, but still are great action movies.
