Sony HTiB HTDDW670 as bedroom setup, Opinions?

I'm looking for a simple setup for my bedroom, not any special expensive sytem. I was at sears looking at some tools, and they had this sony system on display the the home theater area (HTDD670). Does anyone have any experience with this setup? I think for $200 it would work out nice for the...

    H/K stereo receiver HK3380....Opinions?

I went and looked at some other receivers, and I keep coming back to the onkyo. The simplicity of the onkyo is the determining factor. Circuit city is putting their new models out pretty soon, so I might be able to get a unit for around $100. Thanks for all of the help!

    Best speakers in $200-250 range...

I'm putting together a stereo only setup in a 12x12 room. I need some speakers to go with an Onkyo TX-8211 that I'm thinking about picking up. Bookshelf speakers will work fine, but I have to stay around $200-250 for the pair. Can you guys point me in the right direction?

    H/K stereo receiver HK3380....Opinions?

I guess I might have to go the Onkyo route. I was also looking at the Sherwood newcastle RX-675. I can't find any place that I can test it out in person. Thanks for the info!

    H/K stereo receiver HK3380....Opinions?

I use full range speakers alone, so I don't really need a sub. Went out yesterday to some home audio shops, did a little hands-on research. Yeah, what is with the video switching section on the H/K? To me, thats not top priority in a stereo unit. I did mess with some Onkyo units. I have to say I...

    Sherwood receiver stereo/DSP issue..

I have a similar Sherwood unit. To get all of the speakers except for center to work with a stereo source, use the DSP selector and choose "matrix" mode. I utilize that and it seems to work great. Also, I have my speakers set up as "small" and it sounds more full bodied that way, I have no idea why.

    H/K stereo receiver HK3380....Opinions?

I'm in the market for a stereo receiver.....thats right, old school two channel. I feel like I'm the only one left that still has a room that I can listen to just music, no multi-channel bells and whistles, just simplicity. I'm not very familiar with Harman Cardon, so I'd like a little info...

    Receiver choice for the dorm...

The selector is a good idea. The sherwood doesnt seem to have the guts (100x2). Not a very high current receiver I guess. I have heard about some of those receivers with 50x2, but have high current ratings. So I'd still like to pick up a new receiver. As for speakers, a decent set of...

    Receiver choice for the dorm...

I need some advice in a couple of areas... Currently I have my spare reciever ( a newer Sherwood entry level 2 channel) running my system in a dorm. I had an older Yamaha that up and quit about three months ago. I use my setup exclusively for music, not much of a TV or movie person. I have...
