Hi Terry; Thank you for the offer, but I just received payment earlier this afternoon for the 2500, so it is sold. I'll update this thread and good luck.. -Tom
Regardless whether the phishing e-mail Ed made reference to was a factor, in my case, PayPal lists mine as a verified address, so that's all that need be done. As John mentioned, it always good to be aware of stuff like Ed noted, but that's not the case, at least in my scenario... -TD
Yep, just replied there Ed, thanks. As I mentioned in the other thread, I could understand that being a possibility once or twice, but there's about 3 or 4 of us now that the 'refund' was issued to with no reason (though Dorian did explain it in one of the folks here). If it happens that...

I suppose so. I'd seen Dorian sell lots of equipment over the years here, but I'm not sure what's going on at this point. I suppose it's just a case of 'caveat emptor' at this point...
Dorian; What's with the PayPal refund on this? I've got a premier acct., no change on my address for years and paid you seconds after we traded PMs on an agreement. I'm a little p'ed b/c it puts me in an awkward situation w/out a receiver I need (this particular setup does not use audio from...
Apparently this is an ongoing thing w/Dorian, I just had the same thing happen to me on a Denon receiver that they've got for sale. I don't get it, same thing, no explanation, just used my PP for another purchase a week ago and have never had any problems and Dorian just refunded it for no...
Thanks Jim & Matt If you've got a dedicated room and have lighting control, it's a no-brainer instead of a rear projection DLP, plasma or LCD nowadays with the quality of some of the projector offerings... such as the HC3000... :D
Hi LaShan; First off, welcome to the Home Theater Forum ! Don't be afraid to ask lots of questions on this site, there's lots of folks that were in your situation at one point (myself included) and are more than willing to help where they can. As for your specific questions on the HC3000, I...
Up for sale is my Mitsubishi HC3000U 720p projector. This unit is not even six months old and while I would love to keep this (phenomenal picture for movies and HD sports on a 92” screen), I have a 61" RPTV that is back in service, so I hate to see one of them just sitting idle and the RPTV is...
I've been using this in my secondary HT setup and it rarely gets use anymore. As such, I'd like to see it go to a home that can actually use it. I've owned this unit for a little more than two and a half years, mostly in my main HT setup as a pre/pro. It's in very good condition w/a couple very...
Wow, this has to be the oldest post reference I've ever seen. :D Mark, you might want to take a look at the date of the original post: 06-28-2003, 07:29 AM While it is a remote possibility that Robert still has this for sale, I think for him to still have it for five years and still...
*****SOLD***** Up for sale is a pair of Boston Acoustics VRX surround speakers in the dark cherry finish. These have been in my dedicated home theater for the past year and have performed wonderfully. They are in excellent condition, have been well maintained and will be shipped in their...
If the in-wall cutouts are properly placed for your listening area and the sound level is properly balanced when the speakers are installed and hooked up, then the distance shouldn't be an issue. It may help if you provide the current location of the cutouts in correlation to your listening area...
Granted the 3802 is an older receiver, but for your asking price, that's a very good deal. I've owned a 1082 (same as the 3802) and a 3803 in the past, Denon made some solid performing receivers with these models. This would be an excellent receiver for someone just getting into it, needing a...
You're welcome, glad to help! If you can score the 2500, it's a step up from the 2400 and is an easier learning curve due to the GUI. The 2400 has the standard, older plain text GUI for setup, but the 2500 has a nice user interface that's easy to interpret and easy on the eyes. Audioholics...
Assuming you can get it for less than $300 w/shipping included (if applicable), the 2400 is a good receiver, particularly for your needs. I'm pretty sure you'll find it quite an upgrade over your Kenwood and it should tide you over until you're ready to make the jump to the newer receivers... -TD
Certainly. First, I'd check the 'Hardware For Sale' section here to see if anyone has any receivers they may have recently upgraded from. You can also check Audioholics and AudiogoN for some decent classifieds. As for refurbished receivers, you may want to consider eCost, uBid...
