So, my life/gaming balance has changed drastically in the last year or so. I actually quit modern gaming last November.
I'm not sure what caused it, but my desire to play new games has just decreased to the point of not caring anymore. I'd rather do other hobbies, and hike. There will always...
https://www.aol.com/lifestyle/ron-harper-actor-known-planet-193307794.html
Some reports have him at 91 years of age, while IMDB has him at 88 years old. At any rate he was a great actor, and I'm saddened by this news, R.I.P Ron.
One of my favorite documentaries. I absolutely loved every minute of it. Available from Vinegar Syndrome:

Which video game do you feel is the best game ever made?
I bounce around a lot with my top three games, so it is hard to pick the perfect game of those. But I think Resident Evil 2 will always be the best of the best. Better than the first game, and more intense. Such an engaging, creepy...
135" motorized rising screen
I found exactly what I was looking for. It would be great if anyone here knows if they are decent screens.
I was looking at Vivdstorm that have great reviews, however I cant find a size in the 130-140" range
Name some of the movies you saw at the theater that left you completely disappointed, and saddened you wasted your money on them!
I'll start with a few of my picks:
Spider-Man 3
Unbelievably disappointing follow up to the wonderful second film in the series. This was so bad I think I erased...
So, is there a certain genre of film that you gravitate toward over another? Let's hear it.
I broke mine into a top three list
3 - Horror. Not so much for being scary ( so few actually are) but for the talent of the film makers. Most on low budgets, they can get really weird, really...
In the multi-year agreement, Distribution Solutions, a division of Alliance Entertainment Holding Corporation, will distribute hundreds of select physical (Blu-ray and DVD) live-action film and television properties from the ABC Signature, 20th Television, Hollywood Pictures, Touchstone...
https://gamingbolt.com/over-94-of-all-worldwide-game-sales-in-2022-were-digital-report
I've pretty much gone all digital too. Except for the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo does not disclose their sales data for digital, but everyone I know (4 people) with a Switch still buy almost all of their...
Price is a bit much at $15K when you can get a Vividstorm 120" electronic rising screen, and UST Laser projector for a fraction to half of that price.
But it is pretty interesting.
I think I've bought more 4K discs this year than I ever have in one years time (over 30).
Hard to narrow down the best of the bunch but here are a few:
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 had some great (punchy) HDR. looked great.
Fright Night looks better than it ever has on home video, and being one of...

This breaks my heart. American Movie is one of my all time favorite films. And of course Mike Schank was huge reason why. You could just feel his kind presence...
I thought the old BD was just fine until I saw the 4K last week. I received my copy and watched it late Saturday Night. Beautiful. I was very impressed. I watched it with my 16 year old niece (her suggestion) and 81 year old mom. They both thought it was terrifying:)
The HDR is so nice...
Movies that never seem to get old, and you like to have on to watch repeatedly, (annually, or more). The perfect film(s) for escaping and getting lost in the magic of Cinema....at home.
My list:
Star Trek III The Search for Spock
Jurassic Park
The Goonies
Back to the Future
Do you...
Really impressed with the video quality. The HDR is wonderful, and adds a much need boost in color depth. It was literally like seeing it for the first time. Pretty cool that this exists, and I'm glad to own it.
Go ahead complain about everything that bugs you about the video game hobby. New, and old.
For me:
- Load Times. I guess it will no longer be an issue with the current systems, but with the PS4, and Xbox One, some games (like 'Control' for example) there was a load time of over 4 minutes...
Title: The Many Saints of Newark
Tagline: Who made Tony Soprano?
Genre: Crime, Drama

I know this is already being discussed on another thread, but I wanted to start a thread dedicated to the upcoming BD set.
Looks like no subtitles, and a few special features are being omitted from the DVD set. I still pre-ordered it. $80 isn't a bad price point for a set like this.
Going back a decade what were your three favorite films of 2011? Please discuss.
Mine are:
3. The Descendants
George Clooney's best film in my opinion.
2. The Future
Love this film. Miranda July really made a small, gentle masterpiece. A bit humorous, weird, and wonderful look at...
Just a reminder a fantastic documentary "Elstree 76" from a few years ago is finally getting a Blu-Ray release next Tuesday.
I enjoyed it very much when it was released. Revolves around a bunch of people with minor roles in the original "Star Wars" film, and how they reacted to the wild...
I'm lucky enough to have two of the best potato chip companies right here in Michigan (Detroit), 'Better Made', and 'Uncle Ray's'
The "Sweet Heat BBQ, and Sweet BBQ are fantastic, and their standard "original" chips are the best. Looks like you can get them anywhere in the world thanks to...
