I sent an email to Marantz last month to see if there will be a SR-7600 and SR-8600 coming out. They said that there is no plans for the SR-7600 or SR-8600 any time soon. They told me 7500 and 8500 will be here for the next year or two. It looks like I'm going with the SR-8500.

You need a lot of power to drive the Studio 100s and I don't think the Elite 72 or the 74 would have the power. Unless you go with a separate amp. The Marantz SR8500 might do a better job. Plus Marantz is better for music. You still might have to go with a 200w amp or better to run the Studio...

I have heard both through B&W 600 series and liked both. The Marantz was worm with more head room. The Pioneer 74 had tighter sub and more fetchers. I have no need for HDMI right now. (70% Movies 30%Music) They will be running Paradigm Studio 60s front L/R, cc-470 center, 40s rear L/R and...
