The Simpsons (Commentaries on every episode, including animatics, illustrated commentaries and various other extras. Also, some of the nicest box art I have seen minus the head packaging.) Futurama (Pretty much the same as Simpsons.) Family Guy (Pretty much the same as Simpsons.) Lost (Some...
It has not been too long since it's premiere so I think it's just a matter of waiting for an announcement. They may even bundle seasons 1 & 2 together since season 1 was a midseason replacement, but we don't often see this with current series. You can say the same about Two & A Half Men, TV's...
Just Shoot Me: Seasons 1 & 2 (June 14th 2004) Malcolm In The Middle: Season 1 (October 29th 2002) Also Diff'rent Strokes in uncertain, but has 2 seasons out. Other shows I own with only one season out, but it's to soon to call them abandoned are Dharma & Greg and Joey.
I am doing this in order of importance. It is not necessarily my top 5 shows, I am taking how many episodes there are & other things in to consideration. It also assumes that the series' will be completed on DVD. Friends The Simpsons Buffy The Vampire Slayer The King Of Queens Seinfeld
Long Beach Dub Allstars - Sunny Hours (Joey) Sonny Rhodes - Ballad Of Serenity (Firefly) Dido - Here With Me (Roswell) Darling Violetta - Sanctuary (Angel) Elvis Presley - A Little Less Coversation (Las Vegas) The Dandy Warhols - We Used To Be Friends (Veronica Mars) Love Spit Love - How...
There is no direct spoiler, but people on this forum are nutty about any type of spoiler so I am hiding it. Had Angel gotten the ‘normal’ life it would defeat the whole purpose of the series, for me. The point is that they fight & help people when no one else will & they keep on fighting 'til...
Double slim cases. I used to like Digipaks, simply because it looks very nifty, but it is not as practical. I ran out of shelf space about 50 sets ago so the smaller the better. Don't even get me started on the scotch tape disc trays the Simpsons seasons 6 & on have used. Ugh.
No, you're theory is just ridiculous. You have every right to not purchase a set for whatever reasons, but you are trying to convince us that if it is not 100% unedited it somehow should never be released whatsoever. Believe it or not George, not everyone has the same state of mind as you. Most...

I am not arguing that point. They can do whatever the market will bear... & that evidently includes music substitutions. I am sure Paramount did the math & found that it would be more profitable to go the music replacement route than to sell a couple extra copies to fans who refuse to buy an...
^ I agree. Paramount has come right out & told the public about these substitutions months in advance. That is the honorable thing to do. I mean, the same thing was done with the Roswell sets & they turned out fine. If it means getting the set out faster & the SRP being cheaper than I can live...
From what I remember I didn't really like this show too much. It was decent, but not something I’d buy or even watch weekly. I remember watching tuning in one time because they had some hockey players guest starring. (Scott Stevens, Anson Carter, ect.) There has been no announcement for this...
My list consists of mostly recent short-lived series. 25. Freddie (2005) 24. That '80 Show (2002) 23. The Loop (2006) 22. Summerland (2004) 21. John Doe (2002) 20. Pepper Dennis (2006) 19. Hot Properties (2005) 18. Ally McBeal (1997) {Blind Buy} 17. George Lopez (2002) 16. Two And A...
The fact is that we are the minority. Lets face it, the average consumer doesn’t post at a forum like this. Most people aren't so anal about their DVD's... If it's a show they like, they'll buy it & still enjoy it even if it's edited. Most people wont even notice any edits. We need to learn to...
My top 5 are all recent shows... 5. Unhappily Ever After (1995) 4. The Drew Carey Show (1995) 3. Hope & Faith (2003) 2. What I Like About You (2002) 1. 8 Simple Rules (2002)
Did you purchase the set in Canada? Because I did & rather than stating 'Good In U.S.A.' it states 'Good In Canada' at the bottom of the insert. I’ll let you know if mine works once I enter it. This rebate offer may just entice me to buy Grey's Anatomy: Season 2 blindly. I already plan on...
I have blindly bought a few series over the past year or so. Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Seasons 1-7 (I bought this after seeing just 1 random episode & knowing nothing about the show. It is now pretty much my favourite show. Best blind investment ever.) Firefly: Complete Series (Amazing show...
I have no doubt that if promoted correctly,a Buffy film could be a financial success. However, if this happens they run the risk of pissing off the die-hard fans because it would have to explain everything so that people who have not seen the series could enjoy it as well. If they were to do a...
This kind of sucks for new fans of the show. It premieres on September 22nd, so basically new fans are screwed. (Unless you tape it) It makes more sense to release the set before the show's premiere.
Simply put... The companies want to milk the consumer for every penny they are worth. These complete series box-sets are released to get fans on the fence about buying the series to buy it at a lower price point. (& possibly to move unsold stock)The companies release shows in the season format...
The thinpack sets were released on May 30th. For that price, the complete series set is cheaper then the thinpack sets. That averages out to $20 a season... Most Buffy fans paid $60 per season so that is a great deal. Now as for wether you would enjoy the series or not... Perhaps you should...
I was under the impression that you were saying to purchase the set simply for the sake of returning it, just to encourage further sets. Sorry, I misunderstood your post.:)
I finished season 1 today & I am now even more in love with this show. I just picked up seasons 2-5! If there are any Canadians here, I found them for $35.99 each at Costco. That is a pretty good discount... Can't wait to watch 2-5 now!
