Did I miss the answer to this? I have an issue with color no one seems to figure out and do have a center speaker on top of the TV. If this is what ruined my TV, I'm going to kick myself for a long time. I didn't think magnetism affected DLP's!

A little more information: I did move my TV to a completely different area so I don't think the issue is interference. I also have a cheap little DVD that has component and video connections. On component, I get the issue. On the regular video, again, no issue.

Quick question if you're still out there, Joe (or anyone else who might know). I've searched the color wheel issues and they're always accompanied by a "humming" sound. Do you know if this "humming" sound is always present when the color wheel breaks? I ask because I don't notice any sound.

Thanks, Joe. The set is over 5 years old so definately not under warranty. The only thing I've ever had to do is swap the lamp and even it had over 8400 hours. I'll look for the color wheel and see about swapping out it. Again, thanks for help!

I have this on my TV. At first I thought I'd never use it but hooked it up anyway. Now I use it all the time. Especially when I miss a show, a lot of the networks have them online. I just log in and watch on my TV. The quality if pretty good.

LCD has come a long way in the past couple of years but I'd still go with DLP for the same reasons Joseph listed. You can't beat getting a new TV every 4 years for about $250.

I've played games with an Xbox on the Samsung DLP and the Sony LCD. They look much better on the LCD.... But as far as I can tell, the grapics on the PS2 are not as good as the Xbox. Not sure if they'll be better on the PS3.
