I think giving up on 3D may come down to economics. I don't hate it, but I would not miss it either. The bigger dropout was plasma. But I do think OLED will replace it eventually and at reasonable pricing. That is only a matter of time. Curved should be an option. I don't care for it myself...

Nice setup.. I gravitated from an Onkyo receiver to an Emotiva UMC-200 to pair up with my XPA-5. Excellent intgeration. I have to admit Emo has has had some rough spots with regards to service and upgrades. They are improving in that regard, but the SQ has never been in question.

Get virtually any reasonably priced cable that's rated for 1.3. And those rated for 1.3b or 1.3c are only selling points and have nothing to do with the actual quality of the cable. Besides monoprice, BJC also sells a less expensive line under the Tartan name.

Yes it does. It will only output TrueHD in 2 channel, until the May (or sooner?) update. My work around is simply to use the 're-encode' mode for converting the Dolby track to DTS for all multichannel audio. And route via optical (or digital coax). I can't imagine listening to movies anymore...
