Hey guys, I finally got around to making the purchase today on the 605 when i saw it drop to $350 refurbed on Shop Onkyo. I wanted to thank the helpful people on this thread, esp Neal_C. Hoping to be a more active member of this forum now that I have a real home theater component.
Meh, other than the finale of season 6 and that fight episode, I dont even want to own Smallville Season 6 (or 5). Seasons 1-4 I'd buy on blu-ray if they were released. Maybe Season 7 if they maintain the same quality they keep on the premiere.
I still haven't made the purchase of the Onkyo TX-605 yet, but will have to soon... the FIOS guy is coming to install FIOS in our house, and when he does, I'll finally have HD in my bedroom. Hopefully this isn't too off topic, but any suggestions on the best speakerwires to use with this...

I actually purchased the WEGA 40" XBR back in May, 2002. Got it for $2750 + $269 for a 4 yr warranty+ Delivery. So far, no problems with it, but I'll keep an eye out for green globs. Hoping to replace it soon with something widescreen and thin though - maybe a Panasonic? (posted question on...
SteveK - You speak highly of the Toshiba X-32. You mention that you're a dish Network subscriber and I am too. I was thinking of getting the DVR 921 at first because I wanted the ability to (1) have a satellite tuner (2)watch and record in hi-def, and (3) control 2 tuners from one receiver...
