If I do that, is it going to take power away from those two rear speakers so i'll need to adjust the volume on them higher, or will they receive an equal amount of power and still sound fine?
Can I just hook a computer up into a Tape or Video slot on the receiver to get audio from it? Seems simple enough, but i'm bored at work and figured i'd verify.
I'm guessing you meant "two" speakers and not "to." Is that right? If so, I may take that advice and do it because I do have some extra surround speakers of the exact same model as my current surround speakers.
I hope this doesn't seem like i'm trying to steal this thread, but maybe I can ask an additional question on the crossover topic. When I set my stereo up I put all of the speakers on Large and the crossover at 150Hz. This is of course due to my lack of knowledge of what the crossover is...
This post is just to give a little information on my experience with the new addition to my home theatre system, because I was so impressed that I felt I had to share it. I bought the Onkyo TX-SR502 receiver a few days ago and UPS delivered it yesterday. When I got home from work I eagerly...
That was a very helpful response, but I do have one further question. I do have a 6.1 receiver, so if I plug in the rear surround speaker and put in a DVD with 6.1 capability, am I going to get audio out of that rear speaker, or is there an additional piece of equipment that I need to purchase...
So reading about DTS, it says it delivers 6 channels (5.1) of sound. Does this mean that DTS is not compatible with 6.1 surround? This is probaby a stupid question, but I want to make sure I have the facts right.
I'm trying to gain more knowledge on the subject of various surround modes, as well as DSP settings, THX, DTS, and any other audio options that may be present on nice receivers. My Onkyo TX-SR502 has a variety of options, but I don't have the knowledge of all the settings to effectively...
Speaking of that, Chuck, just to satisfy my own curiosity, are you pretty happy with your Sherwood? I looked at a couple of them and still decided to go with the Onkyo, having had a good history with them.
At least now I know. On the plus side though, most new receivers have such nice EQ's built into them already that having that separate one isn't extremely vital.
I have a question that may be very basic, but I'm struggling with the answer. I recently purchased an Onkyo TX-SR502S Silver 6 Channel receiver http://www.crutchfield.com/S-aNdwGvUp6nZ/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?i=580TXS502S&search=SR502S+Silver+6+Channel to replace my old KLH. I also own a Kenwood...
I'd like to see home theatre surround sound packages. Center channel and two rear surrounds. I have nice Bose front speakers and a good sub, but I could use some better surrounds.
I had some crackling with some Infinity speakers I used to have. I found out (the hard way) that i needed to let the car warmup in the winter before playing anything on those particular speakers. One day I hopped in on a cold winter day, turned up the radio, and blew the speakers. Maybe it was...
Audioslave - Show Me How to Live This song is mixed incredibly well and you get such an amazing display of all the high's and low's on a good system. I love it.
Dave Matthews Band has a lot of great storytelling songs. He also has a couple of CD's where he actually stops and tells stories to the audience between songs, and the stories always relate to the songs. They are a great group of musicians. Springsteen has some amazing stories to tell, as well.
I've bought nothing but TDK for a long time and never once had a burn fail on me, or a burn not capture properly. I don't know if I just have a good burner, or i'm lucky, or if TDK is really good, but i've been very satisfied with them and my Yamaha burner.
I can't tell whether my PS2 picture looks better with RGB or S-Video. Does anyone have any experience with this that could give me some insight as to what to look for?
I've heard rumors or a new version of Final Fantasy 7 coming out sometime in 05'. Has anyone else heard about this at all? From the sound of it, something is already out in Japan.
I'm a huge fan of the entire RE series. The first one on PS1 hooked me for life. The second was a little dissapointing, but the 3rd and now the 4th are amazing and extremely entertaining. Great games all around.
