The region 2, PAL release of "The Quatermass Experiment" from "Hammer" is excellent. It includes a great 23 page viewing notes booklet. Why does "Warner" use those lousy snap cases for some of their "Hammer" horror releases?

Hey Ryan, I got my new PAL to NTSC DVD player and I love it. I just finished watching "The Quatermass Experiment" which is not available on NTSC, region 1.

I have many older "Anchor Bay" titles that play fine. I wonder if "Frankenstein Created Woman" was made with a bad process at the factory?

Has anyone had a problem with "Frankenstein Created Woman". I have two copies and both will not play!

You know what Ryan, I think I'll spend the extra money and not worry about if the cheaper model has everything I need! In the long run it's not worth the aggrevation.

On the J & R site it says for video output system: PAL-NTSC. That does'nt tell you if it converts when necessary, from one to the other. What do you think?

I actually found one at J & R.com for $92.99. I believe it is the same player, model DV490V-S, but I have to compare since the other seller you suggested called theirs a DV490.

Your right, the "r" is not silent but more of an "h" sound. It is lightly touched on when you say "noir". It is just like how the French pronounce reservoir as compared to how Americans pronounce reservoir.

I think the title of the movie is "Murder He Says". I checked Fred MacMurray's filmography and there it was!
