My JVC rear projector HD-56G787 has a piece of dust on the inside of the screen that can be seen while its on. I used a can of compressed air to clean the small gap around the screen. I've done this before with no side effects. This time the dust showed up. I'm assuming its on the lens in...
www.radiient.com Check out the Calypso. I've got a set and there hard to beat for the money. They look great in person and sound pretty good. I had to deal with their customer service and they were great.
Thanks Allan. I suspected as much. I actually went shopping today and found a great deal on a Mitsubishi WD-62527. If the wife will go for it I'll probably sell my old Toshiba to a local restaurant for a couple hundred, use that money to buy the Mitsubishi and charge the rest of it. Can't go...
When adjusting the convergence on my Toshiba TZ43V61 you can choose between 9 sections of the screen to adjust the red and blue cross hairs. Pretty simple to do but my problem is on sections 1 and 2 in the upper left corner and upper center of the screen the cross hairs for the red adjustment do...
Just me thinking out loud but wouldn't it stand to reason if you had 13 channels you could use smaller speakers and still have a very dynamic system even with less power? Maybe some coaxials from seas or tang band.
I bought 24 of the NSB 4" drivers from PE. I think I'll goto Lowe's this weekend and buy some sewer pipe to play with. Could be my new computer speakers for work or something for my daughters room. Good conversation piece even if they don't sound good. Doesn't matter at work anyway.
As luck would have it I am your average "joe" with his average budget. Thanks for the information. I'll still get a pair of the 206's for music and try them in my HT just for the Heck of it. I've got a place for them if they don't work there.
My mistake Greg. Thats what I get for reading it once then typing my response. Sorry. Thanks for the reply. I need to get to the next Atlanta DIY event. I live just across the state line in Alabama on I-20. About the xmax of the 206 and 207, it was my understanding they have more xmax than...
www dot billfitzmaurice dot com Check out the Auto Tuba and the Tuba 18 plans. More complicated to build than a sealed box but the cost of the driver(MCM 8" for $35) and 100W amp(PE has them for $100) makes it worth considering. Check out the forum there for others opinions.
I could tell a big difference when I got matched fronts. But then again my old speakers were crap. Don't laugh but my speakers are the RCA ones you can buy at Radio Shack. I wouldn't normally have bought them but the closeout price being 75% off regular I decided to try them. For $150 I got 4 of...
Javier - I like accurate and mellow. Laid back accoustic rock is a favorite of mine. Greg - I can't imagine the fe206e sounding like a b*** speaker if its in a properly ported cabinet. The set I heard had great midrange. Will it make a difference if these are going to be BR cabinets? Horn...
I would think a better quality, more efficient driver would make an improvement over what is currently in the tv provided they use an average speaker from the factory. The factory amp shouldn't have a problem at normal listening levels. Has to be a shielded speaker. I don't know of any...
Specifically the Fostex fe206e or fe207e. Ofcourse the guys at www dot fostexspeakers dot com recommend them. I'm sure they work good and they have plans for the center, mains and surrounds. Have any of you built or heard a setup like this? The pros and cons if yoy would. I'm about 80% HT...
I've got a Toshiba TZ43V61. I'd like to upgrade the speakers if its worth doing so. My current center channel is a ported box that doesn't work well sitting in the stand under the TV and I don't have the option to mount it above the TV. Any suggestions?
My Dad was going to get the bose system for the house due to its size and his perception of it being a good system. I convinced him to go shopping with me and audition some other sytems. He like the idea of the smaller speakers so we ended up picking out a Yamaha HT in a box and saving a couple...
