What's left, unreleased on 4k, that you would pay $50 to own on day one?

I would love The Big Country in 4K. Does anyone know if there was ever a stereo or 5.1 track, all we have on the BD is mono.

UHD Review A Few Words About A few words about…™ The Ten Commandments (1956) - in 4k UHD Blu-ray

Yes that is certainly my home cinema! I was a cinema projectionist for 35+ years and trained at the age of 16 by two real old showmen, they both are well and truly gone today.

UHD Review A Few Words About A few words about…™ The Ten Commandments (1956) - in 4k UHD Blu-ray

My Favourite film of all time. I was dissapointed with the black crush in the HDR copy when my BD copy never had it. Just check and compare the black suit of Cecil B. DeMilles in the prologue between the HDR and BD copy, one has detail the other doesnt.

Pre-Order The Big Country (1958) (Reissue) (Blu-ray) Available for Preorder

Was the film only made with mono sound in 1958? It has such a great score it would be wonderful to hear it in 3 or 4 track.

UHD Review A Few Words About A few words about...™ - Death on the Nile (2022) -- in 4k UHD

From a 70 year old timer projectionist whos spent a lifetime screening 35mm and many 70mm Roadshow prints. 65mm prints were all blown up to 70mm, there were no 65mm projectors. Most of the big Roadshow 70mm films were shot on 65mm film. They were released for exhibition and projected in 70mm in...

    Fox Movietone newsreels and etc.

I have emailed Fox news and asked them since they are restoring 35mm newsreels to 4K why dont they transfer some to BD. I know what the answer will be!

    Fox Movietone newsreels and etc.

Ive bought many different newsreels on DVD over the years and the quality of all of them have been bad. I just dont know why they dont leave them totally intact with the start and end logos. It would be heaven if they transfered original 35mm versions to Bluray. I used to make up all the Fox...

CINEMA FILMS PROJECTED FROM BEHIND THE SCREEN

I was a projectionist at the State Theatre 2 in Sydney in the 70s, it had rear projection. What a horrible booth to work in, you looked into the ugley back stage area, no audience to see and the cleaners stored all their mops and cleaning materials there, just horrid!!!! The sound was also...

Risers I built wrong 10 years ago, help?

10 years ago I built two risers that were totally sealed inside, now covered with rubber underlay and carpet glued to the chipboard flooring. I never filled them with insulation and didn’t add any ports, back then I didn’t know this was standard practice. I have 4x 18" ported PSA subs up front...

Is there anything that stops someone like KL fixing an issue like this from the start? Is it breaking an agreement to make a change that actually is a correct fix? Well the DVD is still available in Dolby Digital and most of us have it. Why couldnt they have taken the Overture, Entracte and playout music from it? Plus the CD and LPs are still available.
