    Lining a Sub Cabinet

Morning, I built a 214L Adire align ported. I asked the same questions. Responses were that the "egg crate" foam was more for standing waves and that it was not needed for the low frequencies of a sub. I also think the "fill" is for loading to make the enclosure larger in volume. 2 cents:)...

    Tempest 214L Adire

I feel the box vibrating. There is no wood to wood vibration. I think the addition of another layer of MDF would reduce it considerably however it is already VERY stout. Once I have put the final veneer on it I will post pics. Thanks for your response and good luck with your box!:emoji_thumbsup:

    Tempest 214L Adire

Morning, I recently completed the basic box for the 214L Adire alignment. But wonder if anyone has tried using acoustic foam to line the box? I emailed Adire tech and they had not tried it. Also I used the recommended 3/4 MDF and feel some vibration on the box. Would another layer of 3/4...

    Tempest 214L stuffing.

Morning, New to the Forum so if it's an old question let me know. I'm building a 214L vented Tempest. Adire calls for 64 oz. of fill. I would like to use 1.5" acoustical foam to line the box as I did wiht my Audax center channel. Will this change the amount of fill needed or completely change...
