Wasn't there some info circling a while back about index searches. Where you can look into directories that people have on thier webspace that the didn't protect with a password?
Yeah, the area where they cut in the closet is really the only break in the roof line. Both of the angles are the same down the sides but there is one picture that makes the angle on the right toward the front look different than the rest of the room, but it's not. As an update, the sheet...
The newer HP scanners come with a software package, can't remember the name right now, but it will scan in to several different formats, i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Adobe Acrobat, paint... So yes, it can be done.
Been a while since my last update. Day one of the sheet rock hanging is done. Should be done with hanging and mudding/sanding by end of next week. Stairs and railing are up and are ready for carpet soon. We're gonna go ahead and redo the carpet downstairs also to match the steps instead of...
Thanks for the tip on the sub placement. Fortunately, with the room layout I have. I'm able to get around the outside walls, so if need be, I can get a line back there without too much trouble.
Insulation is up (pics on site updated). Sheetrock is being delivered in the morning. Also got all of my cables prior to sheetrock and got them installed. I ran a Stereo A/V wall plate to just in front of the seating area and also a component/fiberoptic wall plate for hooking up gaming systems.
Wiring for audio and electical done. Wired my lights for front track, front 2 cans and rear 4 cans to be on seperate switches. Insulation is going in tomorrow. Pics on my site are up to date.
I have a light bar that I would like to use in the front of the room as effect lighting on the screen when a movie isn't playing. The light currently has a plug on it. Would there be anything wrong with removing the plug and hard wiring this in or is removing the plug a no no?
Contractor called. They are starting on the staircase up to the room in the morning. I need to get a run down and final listing of all of the wires I need to get from my component closet to the projector and to the rest of the room. Audio: Wired for 7.1 Run for Sub (Should I use coax...
Looking at you're first link (that carpet is pretty much what I had in mind) I notice that you walk only down one side of your seating. I'm probably going to be in the same situation. Is your screen centered with your seating or is it slightly to the left and centered with the room? It appears...
Let's just say, I'll be able to complete the project, ready to watch a movie, including the furniture and projector purchase for about the same price. Went by a local furniture store yesterday and they had a big sale going on. Ended up going with a different set of seating than I thought...
Contractor is coming by today for me to sign the contract. Need help with some design ideas now. I've decided on a dark blue, I think it's called midnight blue, for the wall and ceiling colors, now I need to decide on trim and carpet colors. The seating that we're looking at for the room is a...
Then I would say around 6-6.5 feet. You don't want to get too close to the ceiling. I know that I remember barely seeing into other peoples sconce lighting when I've seen in it in homes that I've been to. I'm 6'8" so that would make it somewhere in the 6-6.5 foot range. I would definately...
I would say any height that doesn't allow you to actually see the bulb would be fine, of course that can also depend on the type of sconces you are using. I would say around the 6.5-7 foot mark would be good (I could still see the bulbs but not everyone is that tall). I would also say that it...
Well, I went shopping for some seating last night and I may have found my chairs, at least one row anyway. http://www.havertys.com/web-catalog/.../HVT41056.JPEG They had a good price going on it in the store so I'll probably end up with this as one row of seating in a tope color more than...
Richard, Yeah, I think the Yamaha handles the load pretty well. Sounds great to me anyway. Todd, I'm planning on doing some of the work but I've talked it over with the contractor I'm using (friend of a friend) and he said the difference between me doing the rock and him doing it would...
Friend of mine that I was referring to has the Sanyo Z4 now. Got to check it out last night and the picture quality was nice plus it had several nice features and comes with an extra bulb. So now I'm comparing between this projector and an ae900u. Guess I need to start doing my homework to...
Well, I got started on a web page to chart my progress. So far I've got some pictures of where the construction is going to be taking place and some information about the components I have currently. It's just in the beginning stages but go check it out. http://joshs2000ss.home.insightbb.com
He just upgraded to the AE900 but I haven't been over to check it out yet. I haven't actually seen any new DLP's so I'm leaning toward the LCD's based on what I've seen but hopefully I'll get to demo one somewhere before I go that route.
Well, let me say this. I'm looking at about a 110" screen, preferrably. I've been told by a friend of mind that the new HD DLP projectors are producing some really good pictures now and have less of the SD problem that they were known for in the past. I just want the best picture quality for the...
I'm trying to get everything lined out for my theater now so I'll be ready (as much as possible) when the building gets started in a couple weeks. Here's a post about the specifics of the room: http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htfo...hreadid=219092 I'm looking for a projector that will...
