And that's exactly the problem with Best Buy and their exclusive 4K/3D/BRD steelbook releases. They make a scant few, scalpers get most of them, and everybody else is SOL. (No 3D release, otherwise. )
Even forgetting about Soren, it still seems difficult to believe. Guinan said Picard would never want to leave, which makes more sense. (And yes, I realize it wouldn't have worked for the film if they had stayed in the Nexus.)
[My biggest problem with Generations is that the writers make Picard an idiot in the last quarter of the film (from the moment he enters the Nexus)]
If the Nexus were anywhere near as good as they were suggesting, I find it hard to believe that either Picard or Kirk would have wanted to leave it...
She was originally a missing person. Ballard had a tape she made, presumably given by whoever filed the report. He apparently was investigating the Dollhouse, linked Caroline to it, and then developed a Prince Valiant type thing. re: Ballard I don't think it's just the "signing into slavery"...
It could be argued that's still merely Echo reacting in a manner as the rich lady would have. In this case the benefit is to Adele. It's not entirely clear if she believes it was a facsimile, or actually her friend; but obviously rich lady believed it was going to actually be herself, after her...
Weak justification, but needing someone to push the button every 108 minutes could have been to ensure they kept monitoring the system, instead of simply nodding off or going fishing, etc. Those machines lasted a long time after their obsolescence, and a lack of anyone to supply replacement...
Yeah. If she could remember it happening, that means neither she nor anyone else had done anything that could change the fact, and asking him to go back was inconsequential. I also miss Faraday.
(If the ex-FBI guy did, of course.)
To be correct, it's code name November who had a daughter, though I didn't notice the name on the grave marker. And as for Caroline, not everyone in real life is "interesting" either.
Sure there's a reason. It doesn't matter if it's really Locke, the smoke monster, or Miss Piggy. It only matters that the island needs Ben to think it's really Locke, and that he's not currently authorized to make command decisions.
"Immortality" may be part of some of the client's thinking, but having one's memories and personality played back in someone else's body... He/She may act and sound like you, but it's not you.
The FBI and the general public apparently believe that the Dollhouse is just an urban legend. But that begs the question, how do these rich people find the Dollhouse, or even know there is something to be looking for? Re: Cute neighbor chick - She offed the disgraced handler? I thought she...
Forgot about that. But yeah, he was probably just making fun of Jack. I don't know if this has been discussed here yet, but a theory I've read elsewhere are that Daniel's feelings for Charlotte are not as romantic as he initially thinks. He would fit the father "leaves the island" statement...
(For some reason I'm not able to edit at the moment. This site doesn't play nice with Firefox??) Ben and the island: I'm pretty sure the sailboat is still seaworthy? Probably what Mr. Friendly used on his trip to recruit what's his name. (I wonder if people ask him to say "Waaaalllttttt!!"...
