Best iPOD Kit - Mercedes E-Class

Yes they do have an intergrated system for all of the devices in the car, so something like an alpine-made unit which requires installation of their player isn't really an option. I have heard of units that plug into open ports on cars like this though that do integrate well. That is what Im...

Best iPOD Kit - Mercedes E-Class

I need some help. I just picked up a 2006 E-Class and am looking to be able to play MP3s in the car. I do know that Benz has their own "iPOD Integration Kit" however there is VERY little information available on it. The dealership doesn't have any brochures, nor do they have any cars with it...

New to HTCP: Front End / OS Recommendations

Hi, I am finally starting to put together a HTPC at the recommendation of several friends. I am not new to building computers or Home Theater, but am "relatively" new to HTPCs, and I understand they are somewhat different. I say relatively because I currently have a sort-of scaled down HTPC...

DVD Media Help with Denon DVD-2200 [NOT a burning thread!!]

Thanks I will give those a try. Should I get the +R or the -R ? For that matter...what really is the difference between the two?

DVD Media Help with Denon DVD-2200 [NOT a burning thread!!]

I have a Denon DVD-2200 DVD player, and while I love the quality of it, it can be a bit "picky" as to the types of DVD media that play on it. For example, I went skydiving and had a DVD made of the jump, and it didn't play well on the Denon, but played fine on my Samsung downstairs. I have some...

Farscape and Babylon 5 transfer quality, etc.

I would also add that later Seasons of B5 looked better and better, both the sets and the CGI. Season 1 definately looked "off" compared to the rest.

    B5 Movies Box Set opinions?

To some of the comments about when to watch "In the Begining" there are a few options I guess. Some say not to watch it until after Season 4 due to spoilers...I agree thats valid for new viewers, but for those of us who have seen the series all the way through, after Season 4 isn't really a...

    B5 Movies Box Set opinions?

I really like the movie set, and it is totally worth the price. It might be my imagination here, but this transfer of "The Gathering" to me seemed a LOT better than the original DVD release of it. I am thinking of watching the two back to back (some scenes specifically) to see for sure, but...

Babylon 5: Should I invest my money and time? ANSWER IN POST #500

Ron, A little clarification to what others above said about Londo and G'Kar strangling each other. What you saw in War Without End DOES happen. You are seeing things exactly as they will happen in 17 years (Londo said it was 17 years since the end of the Shadow War if you remember). So...

Babylon 5: Should I invest my money and time? ANSWER IN POST #500

quote:The last episode I watched was Conflicts Of Interest. Well you are about 2 episodes away from where, in my opinion, Season 4 starts to rock again. I agree with Michael above, who said the best parts of Season 4 are: Spoiler:the Emperor Cartgia and Centauri stuff (the...

Babylon 5: Should I invest my money and time? ANSWER IN POST #500

Here are my takes on a few things: Firsly. I also recommend that you watch "Illusion of Truth." I thought the first ISN show "And now for a word" was interesting but not terribly exciting per say and didn't ADVANCE the story at all. In that respect "Illusion of Truth" is the same. It...

Babylon 5: Should I invest my money and time? ANSWER IN POST #500

Ron, In regards to your above post about.. feeling "cheated" by Sheridan's "death" and his coming back, about it adding untrustworthyness to the show ...I had the same feeling the first time I saw it. I thought it was kind of weak, even though it was done in a very cool and moving way...

Babylon 5: Should I invest my money and time? ANSWER IN POST #500

I have always thought that it was more of an "always meant to be here." Or perhaps the Vorlons being soooo old and advanced maybe they view time differently, less linear, so in that essense Sheridan WAS always there to Kosh. There are a lot of different ways to look at that one, which is...

Babylon 5: Should I invest my money and time? ANSWER IN POST #500

Ron-safe spoiler: In regards to Londo being sympathetic towards the Narns, there are a few points to consider. 1) He was FURIOUS at Refa for killing (so he thought) Adira. I think freeing only a couple thousand Narn would be ample payment for his head on a platter if I were in his shoes...

Babylon 5: Should I invest my money and time? ANSWER IN POST #500

NealO, I think it was answered for sure but I don't remember where. Here in spoiler code are the details. Ron, or anyone else who has not seen Season 4, do not read what is in the little black box. :) "The eye that does not see" refers to G'Kar's eye that he loses when Cartagia has a guard...

Babylon 5: Should I invest my money and time? ANSWER IN POST #500

Ron, A couple things to note. First, I am not sure what you meant about the booklets. Mine seem to have 4 episodes per Disc listed inside it. If you open a page there are 4 episodes listed with descriptions and each opened page is a Disc. To your question about the Emperor's Wife giving...

    "V" The Complete Series

Actually after doing some digging I sort-of stand corrected. It seems that the Next-Gen "V" that NBC was flirting with last year WAS written by Kennith Johnson, and is set 20 years after "V" concluded. JMS did try to revive "V" back in 1994 it seems and submitted a script to WB, but it was...

    "V" The Complete Series

Ric, I heard a rumor about this a year or two ago. I also remember JMS (writer and creator of Babylon 5) posting on his newsgroup that he had either submitted a script with Kennith Johnson, or one for him, on a "next-gen" V movie of sorts. It too was to take place some 20 years after the...

Babylon 5: Should I invest my money and time? ANSWER IN POST #500

Joe, Thats one thing I always really liked about this series. It really was a continuous story. Even those characters who were in the pilot...like Dr. Kyle were referred to later on in the series. So its not like they never existed...they were just tranferred (which fit well with the story)...

Babylon 5: Should I invest my money and time? ANSWER IN POST #500

I am joining this discussion a bit late, but wanted to add some input. I will avoid the overall opinions about the series, the writing, the humor, and the like, much of which is subjective and in any event, has already been discussed to death here. First off I am glad to see the Ron has taken...
