    Not only are rear projection CRT;s the least expensive they still offer the best picture. Even places like bestbuy and crutchfield's websites admit to that, so I'm not sure where everyone is getting there info. Rear projection CRT's can be atleast 65 inches, though they do get rather heavy...

    Definatly go listening/viewing, that said I would go for projector if I were to design a room specifically for home theater and such, especially if the lighting was right. about the 5.1, you could always start there and make sure you receiver handles 7.1 then try the 7.1 out if you like it...

    thats what I don't understand, there not listed as an authorixed dealer but it comes with a two year warranty including a warranty card to verify this. I wonder if photoclub provides the warranty on their own? PH

    you can get a yamaha htr 5760 for that price from digitalphotoclub .com. Sorry I can't post links yet so I have to chop it up. It includes a warranty and will fufill your needs, plus the site has gotten good reviews from what I found. good luck PH

    Yamaha rx-v650 or rx-v750

    I'm about to get the 5760 because I don't use turntables, and I don't need the power. The "P" would be nice but oh well. Anyways the video up conversion isn't a big deal if you just hook your dvd player up straight to your tv and not through your receiver then theres no difference

    I am about to purchase a yamaha htr 5760, but I have one snag my sorround speakers are 4 ohm speakers, while the receiver is rated for 8 ohms. Considering the relativly little use the sorrounds get I don't think the receiver will be bothered, but I wanted to get other opinions there...
