I swear they did earlier in the year! I know I specifically DVRed it. Of course, my HD died, so I lost it, was waiting for it to run again. Interesting.
Here’s one for you - the still unaired Law and Order SVU episode “Unstoppable” from the 2016-17 season. Originally slated to air in October 2016 about a candidate for political office who cannot control himself. Ads for the episode were run, but NBC Comcast felt it MIGHT be too similar to a then...
Would be so much easier if Lionsgate had better quality control or a desire to fix the problems.
OK, I’ll do some more digging on the cuts, but four whole minutes off an episode? That’s hard to write off.
Know I’m late to the party, but let’s embrace I’ve shown up at all.
Looking to pick the show up on DVD/blu-ray and based on what I’m reading, the best path to get the majority of the show would be as follows:
S1-6 are fine on blu-Ray. There are edits, but not of dramatic length, the core of...
That’s a big maybe unless a. the music rights are cleared up for KL and b. seasons 1 and 2 do really well. I’m hopeful, but not optimistic.
Oh, and for anyone interested in FC (like me) season 4 was released on iTunes, but not physical media. I’d like to think it will get a second life at some...
I thought the big issue with KL was music rights. Otherwise, it would be done by now. Now, that being said, if KL gets pushed into getting done, awesome, but let’s get Falcon Crest finished too!
The big news here is Universal getting Rocky and Bullwinkle back out. They picked up the rights after the Classic Media purchase. Hopefully the sales are there to justify getting more Classic Media material either re-released or released period. For example, anyone who wants Lone Ranger or any...
Well, I have news, but maybe not good. Good Morning, Ms. Bliss is available for purchase and streaming from iTunes. Dunno what that means for the physical media rights, but if you want the show, there you have it.
Part of the problem and the reason for price spikes is Classic Media, who released the complete series, no longer exists. Why copies are disappearing and the series vanished from Hulu. It was part of DreamWorks, so I assume it now shifts under the Universal umbrella after the purchase. Same fate...
And we are just scratching the surface. You could do a whole DVD set on the episodes on construction updates for Disneyland, plus we have never seen the full 90 minute version of Opening Day of the park on DVD.It kills me that Disney is sitting on a gold mine of material that they could make a...
Here's one for you - who do we have to bug at Disney to get more episodes of the Disney anthology series out? There is just so much material (Gallagher, Texas John Slaughter, Swamp Fox, Daniel Boone, et al.) to get out, I cannot believe they hare not doing MOD or something to get a series that...
Be nice if they did. Right now, only the first two seasons are available on DVD. What makes me nervous is the movie laid such a colossal egg, Classic Media may not view it as a good investment to release the other seasons. Buy them in a heartbeat if they do!
My Sunday blog update is uo, talking about an episode of The Cisco Kid this week.
Oh and yes, I do have something special in mind for next week. Read the post, there's a very big hint for classic tv fans in there.

I hope they do keep going. Just picked up ILL on blu yesterday and would love more seasons, just for the sheer amount of extras and alternative versions of the episodes. Really great stuff.
Howdy folks! It's Saturday, which means it's time for a blog updat. We're featuring an I Love Lucy episode today, so hope you all enjoy it.

I find myself hesitating too, but not due to price. Make no mistake, I WILL get the show, just a question of when. I'm waiting to hear from Comic-Con about what the LE will contain and then it's just a case of balancing the checkbook. Wonder Years will be out a month later and both would take...
Any hope of securing the rights to reissue seasons 1 and 2? Those are commanding serious money on the secondary market and I know collectors who missed them would love another bite.
How about some one season wonders? I'll Fly Away and Brooklyn Bridge would be high on that list for me.Probably mentioned here earlier, but no love for The Rifleman?
Here's another holy grail, although complete season are impossible - get episodes of Meet the Press out on DVD. Given some of the people they had on, where they ended up and the topics discussed, it's a fascinating historical snapshot of time and place.Admittedly, the interest level may not be...
Since there a plans to follow up on the success of the Sound of Music Live musical on NBC with a revival of Peter Pan, I find myself hoping that we will see a return to DVD of the 1954 Peter Pan with Mary Martin. It was out way back in the early days of TV DVD, but has fallen out of print and is...
Kind of surprising, given Marlo had her own issues with her father. I'm at a bit of a loss how it is best to honor his memory by making sure almost none of what he is most well known for is available to the viewing public. *shrugs*
