    Wii games for kids

Warioware might be suitable for a young child. It's composed of a whole bunch of very quick minigames that are done in a rapidfire manner. Nothing in it too complicated to be too frustrating. In addition, it's a good enough game to not just be for kids.

    WWII 1st person shooter AXIS

Day of Defeat and Day of Defeat: Source are both online PC multiplayer WWII shooters where one side is German. Neither has a single player campaign, but both are excellent and can be had for cheap. DOD:S is $20 and I would assume DOD can be found for cheaper.

Japanese Spiderman TV series to be released on DVD

I've seen a couple episodes of this show and it was basically the live-action Spider-man series meets Power Rangers. It wasn't subbed or dubbed, but the general plot didn't seem too complicated. If the episodes were subbed, I would consider buying the set other than that 45000 yen price tag...

    Nintendos Losing Battle...

I really am happy with the direction that Nintendo is going. I was getting pretty disinterested in gaming due to the same games being released every year just with slightly improved graphics. I hadn't owned a handheld since the original gameboy, but the great, innovative, different games on the...

I watch women's tennis on TV just hear the loud grunts

It depends on the tournament whether men and women are paid the same. Wimbledon and the French have men making more, while the U.S. Open and the Australian pay equal for men and women. Personally, I feel that the prize money should be determined by the number of people at each of the matches. If...

Storylines that begin on one show and end on another

This sort of thing happened a few times between Homicide and Law and Order. The first half of the story would be on Law and Order and it would be finished up on Homicide. Since I believe Universal does Law and Order and A&E releases Homicide, they couldn't have the Law and Order episode on the...

    Simpsons Season Six- June 14th

The episode "Lemon of Troy" was the second to last episode of season six. Edit: Oops, looks like I was beat to it.

The Archive of Incomplete TV DVDs - Buyers Beware! (Updated 3/27/05)

Here's a somewhat surprising addition to the list: Christmas with the Simpsons 2 Apparently one of the episodes, Dude Where's My Ranch is the syndication version. This is a season 14 episode, so it's not going to be released correctly for a while. Follow the link below to the No Homers Club...

DVDs and cases... OK in storage?

I can't say much about the storage unit, but as a college student who moves a couple times a year, I have been using cd wallets to carry around my dvds. I haven't had any problems with scratches yet, although the double-sided discs do worry me a little. Constantly carrying a couple boxes of DVD...

The Simpsons: Season Five - 12/21

The cut was probably made for time. That deleted scene was shown as part of the Season 7 episode "The Simpsons 138th episode spectacular", a clip show of sorts. It is possible that they would include this as a deleted scene on the dvd, but since it's going to be on the 7th season dvd, they will...

TV shows you discovered on DVD?

Buffy also for me. I had heard good things about it and saw a good deal on the first season so i picked it up. Before I knew it, I had watched six seasons of the show in six months. It is definitely an interesting experience to watch that much of a show in a short time period and watch the...

The Simpsons: Season Five - 12/21

Rosebud is the episode where Burns tries to get back his childhood teddy bear Bobo, but Maggie is in possession of it and refuses to give it back. As far as I know, the Simpsons DVDs have always used episodes without syndication cuts. For the seasons that they have released, I haven't seen...

List of short-lived/canceled series on DVD ?

2 of my favorites that haven't been mentioned are the Clerks animated series (6 episodes) and the 2003 MTV Spider-man (13 episodes). I haven't heard anything about bringing back spider-man, but I would love to see it again after the next movie.

Ads in front of movies..... (MERGED THREAD)

Even if theatre owners were given a better deal with box office receipts, what's to stop them from keep showing ads. I doubt many people who are borderline about seeing a movie decide to pass because they don't want to see ads. Ads or not, the number of people who go to the movies won't be...

    DVD Storage question/concern

I've been using CD folders to hold my DVDs for a couple years now and haven't had any scratches or problems. Taking DVD cases is not an option in a small college dorm. It also works nicely for trips.

    Special features

Special features are a major part of my decision in purchases, particularly if I know the show well. 24 is not a show that can be rewatched many times but the great features on the season 2 dvd made the purchase well worth it. I would purchase the Simpsons dvds if they didn't have the...

La Femme Nikita WILL get a Season 2 set

Digital bits is reporting lfn season 2 has been cancelled until further notice. This was one set that I had really been looking forward to buying. It's already been one year since season 1 was released so hopefully whatever the problem will be resolved shortly. Very disappointing.

    Batman Animated DVD Release Date?

The first season was 60 episodes long, a little unreasonable for one box set. The whole series is 85 episodes, so assuming future volumes come out, 3 volumes should cover the whole series. The episodes are in production order, not air date. My local best buy had many copies of this and the...
