My 2 favorite Mummy movies hardly have any mummies in them. The first is Karloff's Mummy where we see the bandages for the first few minutes. The second was Blood from the Mummy's Tomb which was a new and great take on the mummy movies. Shame that is tied in distributor hell.
The Mummy movies...

***WILLARD & BEN Update***
We announced last July at Comic-Con that the 1971 rat-infested cult classic WILLARD and its 1972 sequel BEN would be coming to DVD & Blu-ray for the first time in 2017 with much rejoice. Since then we’ve been unusually “crickets”...

We are now criticizing TCM for showing the movie? That is insane. They are not at fault for the idiots who are letting this film go. I am glad that they show it.
I would also love to see them bring back Hudson Leick as Callisto. Lawless and Leick had a lot of chemistry together. The producers made a big mistake in not getting Leick to play Callisto's reincarnation after the jump in time. The ratings dropped and didn't come back until the character left.
Ultimately it comes down to the bad guys. The movies and tv shows on CW are using a lot of the villains from the comic books. You can't have that much power and face burglars and con men.
That is the reason that I ask. They already have created masters for the UK. Since Kino lost the license in the US, if Arrow could get it then they could port over the masters they created for the UK. The ones on the Arrow blu-rays are not playable in the US.
I wonder if Arrow could get ahold of the Black Sabbath and Black Sunday since Kino has no legal right to release the AIP versions now. They have been the only company that has been able to release the AIP versions. I know that Shout had indicated that they wanted to release the AIP version of...
If it were sync issues then why cancel it? I remember Shout had indicated it would put the AIP version of Witchfinder General in the first Vincent Price Collection and cancelled that. I just wonder it there are legal issues with the AIP versions of these movies. Has the AIP version of any of...
I noticed in the dvd set for the 4th season of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, there were 2 or 3 episodes that started with the ABC In Color logo. I can't imagine them adding it to just a couple. Would this have been on the original print ?
It was not a throwback to the Toho films. The Toho films had a distinct pattern to them. There were 2-3 monster battles during the Toho movies. For example, Godziila 2000 had Godzilla appearing before the opening title credits. It consisted of around 12 minutes of Godzilla attacking Tokyo. The...
I don't believe it is apples and oranges. If Brannigan did well for Twilight Time, McQ is pretty much the same thing. It could tempt Warner to release it through their archive just as they released other blu-rays. There could be other issues such as the shape of the elements.
McQ will probably depend on how well Brannigan sells on Twilight Time. If it does well then you would think that McQ would interest them since it is a similar film.
As I recall they barely made it. I remember seeing pictures of the film cases in a hangar making it look like a graveyard. The films were taken out of the soup, out in cans and flown out. I also seem to recall that Wise had to hand deliver a still wet print to its Washington premiere. Also the...
The only clunker is Return of the Fly. Awful and cheap sequel. Would have preferred Tales of Terror as it is a much better film. Curious to see what House on Haunted Hill looks like considering Warner supposedly has the best elements. Could it be McLintock Take 1?
Looks like they both have good word of mouth. On Rotten Tomatoes, X-Men had a 93 and Godzilla had a 73. They both have good word of mouth. It is weird how each film is tracking the other so far. They seem to be within a few million of each other. Maleficent seems to be a drop-off from Godzilla...
I was looking at the projections and The X-Men is projected to top out at $31 million. If that number folds then that would be the exact take for Godzilla's second week. Maleficint is projected to top out at $65-70 which would be weaker than the last few weeks. with X-Men at $90 million...
The question is what Godzilla is likely to get a sequel? The 2014 version or the 1998 version? The fact is that this summer is much more competitive than 1998. The Amazing Spider-man 2 comes out and stumbles in its second week instead of the third week when it was expected to with Godzilla. Then...
Wednesday Glenn Beck gave his review on the movie on his radio show. Said he didn't go in as a Godzilla fan but he loved the picture and even cheered at the end. He described as a Saturday matinee type movie and compared it to Raiders of the Lost Ark. He said he would definitely be taking his...
