Thanks for all the replies. I figured out how to turn off the internal tuner and my external one is apparently HDTV compat so I pick up a couple of more local channels now. Need to put one in the attic now.

Sony mainly does LCD so that would limit you to a rear projection LCD unit. Are you getting a huge discount off of one? I assume thats why your sticking with Sony?

David thanks for some input. For a budget I don't think you can go wrong with the 140's or the 150's. I don't personally have them but I would say they are better than any HTIB speaker. They would all be timbre matched and you could get 6 channels if you want. Plus the 140's for only 399 shipped...
