Well I decided to try and save a buck at the request of the wife and bought a bulb. Installed new bulb and got a REALLY dim picture on the screen. Called infocus tech support and was basically told there is something wrong with the projector and it would need to be sent in. I have a 5 year...
Thinking about buying a new projector instead of putting money into a new lamp. What would be a good DLP upgrade between $1,000 and $1,500? Anything worth going to $2,000 for? Refurb is fine... How about the Benq MP610? Price seems right and it looks like the econo mode lumens got the X1 beat...
I saw the 4805 but the low lumens has me concerned since this is for TV viewing as well as movies so sometimes there is light in the room. I'm concerned the light will wash out the screen. Right now I can have enough light in the room to be comfortable and still see the picture very well.
I currently have an Infocus X1 and bulb life is getting near it's end and was debating upgrading the projector or dumping money into a new lamp. The specs on the LP650 look better than the X1 but is it really better will I notice a difference? Thanks Ron
Thanks for the replies, what I had to do is go into the super super secret menu that the installer was unaware of. Power off the unit and press the menu button. I changed the resolution? to 1080i and there was a thing about 4:3 conversion I set it to stretch from 480 something and it is now...
Ok I finally decided to get digital cable from Comcast. I had been using analog cable without any problems. Here is the equipment I'm having trouble connecting: Denon 3805 Infocus X1 Comcast Motorola DCT6412 Dual tuner HD / DVR I have my projector working fine with analog cable and...
Ok I've started connecting things and ran into a problem. I am using the component to HD15 cable to connect my DVD player to the projector. I first had this going through the Denon and couldnt get a picture. So I took the Denon out of the loop and went directly from the Humax to the X1 and still...
I'm getting ready to connect my components and have a few questions regarding what connections to use. Here is my equipment at this point: Denon 3805 Humax DRT-800 Tivo Infocus X1 Xbox 7.1 Totem Mite setup Klipsch RSW-10 For audio hookup between the Humax and Denon, is it correct...
Thanks Elijah that was pretty much what I was looking for. I'm new to the HT arena, I've been reading as much as possible on the forum and other areas and I'm on information overload :) Ron
Thanks for the replies, I guess what I'm unclear about is what outputs will be off a digital cable box or an analog one and if it will conect to the receiver. From what I understand analog boxes only have a regular coax output, so if I elect to remain with standard analog cable it won't connect...
I currently have an Infocus X1 projector and an electric screen installed. I'm unclear about how this would connect to a receiver and "tuner". I've pretty much decided on a receiver which is a Denon 3805. Where most of my confusion lies is how to connect my cable box, receiver, and projector...
I am in the process of building my home theater and I used metal studs. They were very easy to install, however I took a couple precautions during installation. I made sure the front and back edge of every stud was screwed in and I also used liquid nails on every part of the studs and top and...
Hello I'm in the process of building my home theater/recreation room. In the movie viewing area I am planning on using 2x2 drop in ceiling tiles. I would like to get them in black or charcoal and the track also in matching color, but I'm having trouble finding anything other than white. Home...
The three beeps do indicate a video card problem. If you get a flashlight and look closely, you will find that the end of the video card is not seated well. You really have to press down on the card pretty firmly to seat it properly.
Next, use a Windows 98 boot disk (make certain that the A...
