No problem, right now I am leaning toward the Sonus Faber Grand Piano's. However, I still have to demo KEF, Mission, DynAudio and Von Schwiekert. After having listened to so many speakers over the last week, I have come to realize that sound is VERY subjective, and asking anyone for a...
I ended up changing my mind and am going for a little bit higher end speaker now. Basically I am looking for fronts that cost around 3-3.5 and then I will buy the matching center, and surrounds. As for shopping by price, how is that odd? I am sure there are speakers that sound better but theyre...
Listened to a few more today, Martin Logans, Joseph Audio, Definitive Technology, the 4k Alons, and Legacy. So far the Sonus Faber are leading, with Josephs a close second. Anything else I am missing out. I am looking for fronts that go for about 3500-4000 MSRP thanks. Also, Im trying to go...
thanks, i should have put a cap on the price. althought Id love martin logans, I dont need to spend 8k on fronts alone. Id like to keep the 5.1 speakers only around 5k for the two fronts, center, rears and sub. any others in this range im leaving out? thanks
I am trying to demo as many speakers as possible, so far these are the brands I have covered. NHT T6's Snell E5, XA60, XA75 Paradigm Monitor and Reference Vandersteen Revel Alon Capri BW 600 and 700 Vienna Acoustics So far the Snell XA60 have been the most appealing, what brands am...
I agree that the M5/T5 setup would be fine for now, but Im planning on upgrading my theater room in a couple years to something in the 800+ sq ft range, so it would be a waste to buy speakers now and want to upgrade in a couple years.
Thanks so your not running a seperate sub with your T5's? I was really impressed with the T6's and if I need to add a sub then I will, but right now doesnt make to much sense. Also, what are most people paying for T6's, dealer quoted me 3400.
I am going to have to go listen again, but I think by adding another seperate sub to the theater, it would just be too much in such a small room, especially since the T6's put out some decent bass already. Also, I think im going to stick with the M6's for surrounds, I know the M5's will be good...
Thanks for the response, I demo'd the T6's with no subs vs a Snell E5 with seperate snell sub, and although its not equal, the T6 blew it away. So I think I'm going to go with the T6 for fronts instead of M6's with seperate subs like the U1. How do the M5 vs M6 compare for surrounds and center...
Im planning on getting a pair of T6's for the front, and then running M6's for the center, side and rear for a 7.1 surround setup. The room is ~350sq ft. Since the T6's have 4 12" subs in each tower, would I need to add a sub to this system? Also, are there any better combinations I can run for...
