If I remember correctly, they had a new episode every weekday.

This is so crazy; I was in that episode as Stockwell's grandson, I barely remember it. It would be really cool to be able to watch the series now that I can understand it. Let's hope it comes out on DVD!

Personally, I had been rooting for John to win. Yeah, he had a bad attitude, but up until his final task, every idea he came up with was genius.

I'm so happy the Fresh Prince DVD is out! My only problem with it is that every disc has a "Special Features" screen... however there is only one special feature and it is only on the last disc. Frustrating. Still a great DVD.

I remember watching Roller Jam when it came to TNN... I thought it was pretty cool.

Boy, I'm sure impressed. Now for the downside: How can I appreciate all of the added features? I want to watch all of the episodes, but I don't want to miss out on all the commentaries, inside looks, and whatnot. Any suggestions?

I'm so happy about the Fresh Prince announcement... what an amazing show. Also one of the few shows with a first season up to par with all the rest. Full House also brings back memories.

This is devastating news. I agree that "Love And Marriage" embodies Married... with Children, but I'm too big of a fan not to buy the set. My only concern is that the next generation of DVD viewers will be missing out on the MWC experience.

I'd love to see Andy Richter, as well as two UPN shows I remember liking a lot, Platinum and Shasta McNasty... and the time, I liked both, although have heard nothing good from anyone else.:frowning:

I have 24 Seasons 1 and 2, but other than a few episodes on Season 1, I haven't watched anything. I don't have 24 hours to spare, and if I'm just watching part of something I want it to be a story that has a beginning, middle, and end.

Best Buy is crazy like that. They had only gotten one copy in of "Married... with Children" Season 1 at the time. I'm so glad I called up and reserved it.

Well, ever since the chat transcript where The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was mentioned as under consideration, I've been crossing my fingers... But there seem to have been no new developments on the situation. Has anyone heard anything?

Umm... why do I have a hard time believing that the person that started this thread is 22? Anyways, I hate the "you likey" catchphrase. It makes me cringe. Other than that, the show has some really funny parts. I like how they're doing subplots with the parents.

It's just a fad. Just like gameshows. Hey! With the hype around Jeopardy, maybe gameshows will be back in style!

I desperately want this to come out ASAP. Lack of extras should bring it out quicker! :) Anywho, if they did have extras, what would you want them to be? I've never seen the E! True Hollywood Story of MWC. That'd be interesting. Howabout the original pilot episode? Dare I say it...

Personally I think the gift set should be thrown in for free, if you're willing to buy both seasons at once. Paying $20 for salt and pepper shakers, a script, and playing cards is kind of a waste, in my opinion.

I used to love taping shows, and then began transfering them to DVD... However it feels like such a waste of time when so much is being released on box sets. If only I knew what would and wouldn't be released in the future.

I sometimes had the show on in the background when I was bored. I feel bad for Seacrest though... he seems determined to be a talkshow host.

I saw the pilot episode, and I thought it was awful. I really want to see more though, because it's getting good reviews and the 10 minutes of another episode I saw was pretty funny. I'll be home for the first Wednesday in a while tomorrow, and will check it out!

What are the best special features you have seen on a TV DVD? How do special features effect your choice to buy the DVD?

Time and time again, it happens. Whenever I'm awaiting a DVD release, and I know I will buy it no matter what, Amazon will put it up for preorder--usually $15 cheaper than stores. Now, this is $15 that I'd love to save on an expensive purchase, but it's also several days of shipping I'd have...

My main reason for buying DVDs is because I don't have cable. Works great.

I've actually found the later episodes really interesting. I don't remember many other shows that have been able to come up with funny material corresponding to the characters ages as they grow up. To me it makes them seem more multi-dimentional and less boring.

I have the same issues. I've decided that I'll just transfer everything to my computer, and then delete the ones I don't need when the DVDs come out. The other day I was transfering a tape to computer and came across an episode of Platinum, a show that I really liked but has no chance of coming...

What I said probably came out wrong. I meant that getting my hopes up after Season 1 and then anxiously waiting for Season 2, fearing it would never be released, it was pretty stressful. Season 1 is on my list of shows to buy. It would make me feel a lot better if they had two or three more waiting for me as well. :frowning:
