well guys, i don't know if you read this anymore, but i just finally got my system all hooked up. I went with the rotel RB-1080, and RMB-1075, and it sounds AWEASOME. I couldn't imagine what something more upper would adequate, but i am just in complete AWE of this thing. I used better...
are you SURE the cinenova is not just an ATI2505 relabeled???? This was my big turnoff for not getting the earthquake. I mean ATI is nice and everything, but i wouldn't include it in the same calibur as the earthquakes are being compared to bryston, krell, etc..
i am STRONGLY considering a Cinenova or an Sherbourn. I would want the 7 channel version of each. I think that i have narrowed it down to these two indefinitely. I used to be ROTEL,ROTEL, ROTEL, but i would seriously worry about quality assurance with them. I think that a lot of their dealers...
how do you know all of this? I mean your probably REALLY smart, but still... I'm fairly smart, and your way more advanced than me. Must be a bonified genious or something
that's nice chu...I will have to do something like that for my dad. I sometimes think that he can be a real bonehead, so maybe it's good that someone let's me know how much i should appreciate him and my mother sometimes. Oh yes, and NEVER ask a girl what you should buy, i thought you were...
i think that i am going to go with the sherbourn 7/2100A. I think that i am just WAY overbuying with the bryston. I mean, it is OBVIOUSLY extemely nice, but i probably don't need nor would appreciate right now the subleties that would make it the better amplifier. Thanks a lot guys, and of...
mike, it is 12 gauge wiring, and it is already setup for a 20 amp circuit. I asked my dad. He has a 20 amp ciruit going to each of the rooms. He just doesn't have the 20amp special outlets for the one power outlet for the circuit is being split throughout the entire room. But it is on a 20 amp...
the bryston can handle 220v and my father said that it would be cheaper as far as the power bill is concerned, and it would be easier on the equipment. If you take the peak watts that it can handle which is 2100 and divide by 110 I guess that you would take the RMS watts though, which...
well i guess that we are going to run a 220 dedicated line for both the amplifiers. My dad said that this is enough. I think that we should run 2 dedicated 220 lines, because the absolute maximum that the amp can reach is 19.09 amps(i realize that we would probably never reach this, but still...
Jack... oh my god no you didn't insult me at all! Thank you so much for all your help! We'll have to keep up and share opinions with each other in the future! Thanks,Eric
okay, so i am running this krell 125 * 5 into 20amp outlet. I can take it to +12db reference, and the amp still plays. So why? As is it easily overwhelmed? Could you explain how this is occuring, how this is split up??
a basic 20amp circuit for each one? I think that is what i am going to do. My dad doesn't mind that. I am not the $%^hole neighbor either. That is just ignorant... Thanks for everything What kind of amplification do you have, if you don't mind me asking?
yes this helps very much so. I think that dolby labs recommends a head room of 20db. For bombs and explosions, or for high quality classicaly recordings with Wide Dynamic Range. So if i plugged my amps(2 of them) into the same standard wall outlet, and plugged the other DVD,CD, bla, bla into...
yes, i am sorry about the rude comments of others. There is NOTHING wrong with bose. Bose is still bose, however when you come into a forum such as this, your realize maybe that Bose is not as far up the ladder as you probably thought. For instance you probably thought they were the BEST. For a...
yeah, i told him just now we need a dedicated line, and he got all upset. And he said that he would not want something like that in him house if it would pull all of that power. then he asked for the minimal power requirements.
also, why is it "important to have sufficient current to feed your amps with. I know there is an obvious answer and everything. But what i am wondering, is that i hear that the sound/dynamics are better with even a better power supply??? Eric
oh man my dad is going to KILL me when he finds me asking if we can run a dedicated line! haha. I am glad to think that you like the def tech's. I LOVE them, just know that they are maybe not popular on here, but to me after researching endlessly, they were basically the only real thing i...
probably have troubles. The thing is, you will lose power, for that receiver can not branch down and double its power(or even close to) for that is what it would need to do to drive lower ohm speakers properly. Eric
your bose is maybe just fine for you. It is a nice RETAIL speaker. And maybe that is all this guy needs. I would recommend a denon receiver for you if you could buy one used somewhere for 200-300. Other than that, you are probably not going to notice the difference between panasonic/sony, etc...
i'm not sure i understand your question. someone on here should be able to help you, for they really know there stuff. I think that the sherbourn is probably the nicest in the price bracket. The 5/2100? and the 7/2100. I really don't know that much about niles. I would post on...
well i finally was able to listen to my system or the krell per say at reference levels(nearer to it). Mom left home to shop! I don't know, i could really grow to love this amplifier(put it in my bed and tuck it in next to me at night). Eric
oh my parents have full homeowners insurance. I will get renter's insurance if i move out then. Probably wouldn't be too much considering that i have $$$ starting to get wrapped up into this thing. My father is an electrical engineer/physicist and he said he was going to do something to prevent...
My early thoughts... NAD: warm/fuzzier sound quality. Not the most precise sound, (maybe more sensationalized than an actuality of what is supposed to be heard)Sound full of quirks such as hiss. However, can show very good diversity and is enjoyable in its own #*tty right. Has a beautiful 2ch...
