The exact same thing they said back in 2014 and 2015, both of which turned out to be unfounded.
To reiterate: Wikipedia can't be totally 100% relied upon for accurate dates of DVD releases. Could be a mean prank.
Guess we'll hafta wait and see... <_<
Well, I purchased my copy of WB's Batman - Season 2 Part 1 DVD set from Wal-Mart last Friday and---Holy Waste Of Time And Money!---do I regret it. -_-
According to TVShowsOnDVD.com Warner Home Video indicated that it would include the fixed versions of the episodes. I checked, and true, they...
Just came across a caption on Wikipedia that on August 12, 2014, Warner Home Video will release the complete series of H-B's 1975 Tom & Jerry Show on DVD in Region 1 for the very first time. Probably a rumor, since Wiki isn't exactly counted upon as a 100% reliable source of DVD...
Here's what I'd like to see:
Tom & Jerry 1975 (either the individual syndie cartoons or the original hourlong Tom & Jerry/Grape Ape Show flagship)
Harlem Globetrotters (the 1970 CBS series [OK, so it ain't controlled by Warner's!!])
The Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour (the original 1976...
Well, frankly, there are 3 titles which come to mind right now: Harlem Globetrotters (both seasons 1 and 2) The Tom & Jerry/Grape Ape Show (Complete Series) - piled on with extras such as Audio Commentary on select episodes, a documentary of the show from its development through its...
I'm still awaiting the announcement for a Complete Series DVD set of the 1975 edition of Tom & Jerry; either the original 60-minute flagship with Grape Ape or the individual 7-minute made-for-TV shorts. And I ain't questioning it. [/url]
My objection to the set was that they suspiciously omitted the main title sequences for the 1975 H-B and even the 1980 Filmation made-for-TV Tom & Jerries (though their end credits remain intact!). All in all, it was a complete letdown for all concerned.
Now that I've had a taste of the original run, I'm craving more (a Complete Series release, to be exact!) of the following: My suggestion for Bonus Features would be Audio Commentary on select episodes, a documentary of the show from its development through its legacy, (an) original...
Mmmmmmmmmmmmnot that big a 1980s SatMorn cartoon devotee (save maybe for Pac-Man). I'm reserving myself for what they got in store for SMC - 1970s Volume 3.
Well, looks like that won't be too much of a worry anymore, what with the premiere of The Tom & Jerry/Grape Ape Show being part of Saturday Morning Cartoons - 1970s Volume 2!
I noticed that the set includes 2 different eras of Tom & Jerry on TV. The 1960s disc has an installment of the original show Tom And Jerry from the 1965-72 CBS Saturday/Sunday morning run which featured repeats of cartoons from the MGM theatrical era. The 1970s disc, of course, includes the...
