I just ordered the SVS MTS-01 full size speaker sytem with the PB13 ultra sub. I would sure appreciate some guidance in choosing an appropriate receiver to go with the system & ease of operation is a plus. Thanks in advance, - Cam EDIT: It is the 5.1 system
Sorry Mike, I guess just a poor choice of words. I have not done an IB "yet", but probably will in the near future. I knew that it was just as loud on either side of the baffle, & was just curious how loud it would be outside the garage when it was closed up as i didnt want to impose "too"...
Mike, I had this same idea a while back & it was mentioned that the garage doors and all might rattle & be loud "outside" the house as this was my concern at the time.......
Gotcha Chris.........thats what I figured. You will definetely have need more power as I am sure those are every bit (and more) as hungry as a 1503 is.
Gotta love that LOW stuff!! :D
The only stuff(ing) I used in my 214L vented AA Tempest was the "sheet" batting from a cloth store & I lined the sides of the box........sounds awesome, although I have already upgraded from there....lol
If you are putting this driver in a small sealed enclosure (less than 1 cu. ft.), you will need at least 500w-600w rms at 2 ohms to get good sound out of it. just my .02 :)
Putting the sub in the entertainment center is great to keep the room looking good, but the best place for the sub (probably 95% of the time if not more) would be in the corner of the room. How far from the corner will it be located if put where you intend to? movin to Texas.....:D
OK.....you knew I was bound to ask sooner or later. In "laymans" terms....what the heck is it. It gathered it converts from "digital to analog". If this is correct, why would you want to? as always..... :b
I generally have my MDF cut into 2'x4' pices, this way I can load/unload easier by myself & it makes it easier to cut on my table saw (Sears $165.00) that will accomodate a 24" cut. Of course I would not have it cut that size if it wouldnt fit my plans..;)
Martin, You do not need a router for driver cutouts. I jigsaw does nicely as it does not need to be a perfect hole. If you were going to build a sonosub, I would recomend a router as the endplates for the tube should be perfect. As far as routers & jigs, I just bought a Sears router that...
I say get the E30s as well. I have never heard the Axioms, but I have E50s for my surrounds & really like the way they sound. They would actually make great front speakers. just my .02
Not specifically that one, but I "used" to frequent MANY different bike boards. I dont much anymore, but we have a local board here & when I get the urge to do so, thats the one I go to....... here is a link It is run by a friend of mine
Well, I have been jacking with this set-up for a couple weeks & think I have all the "doo-dahs" set properly, but that is just it....I might not. Thomas W. has been a great help & been trying the long distance check list, but it gets pretty tough for him & discouraging for me...:frowning:
I sure hope you plan on keeping that Steve, it sure is in GREAT shape!! I have an 85 V65 Magna also, as well as a 97 GSXR600 for the track. I had every intention of getting a ZX-10R myself, but the 9R does everything I need to do & does it comfortably. I may still get one...
Anybody care to come to my house to see what I must be doing wrong. Pain in the butt for somebody, but if I dont ask I cant get rejected....lol My new sonosub with the BP1503 driver & Behringer EP2500 cant come close to matching my Tempest & 320w plate amp..... It pretty much...
