I just watched this movie on my PS3 last night and on 5 occasions, the movie just paused for about 7-10 seconds and then just started up again. Pressing the buttons on the bluetooth remote did not help any. Did anyone else experience this? Maybe I just have a bad copy of the movie. Other BD...
Thanks Dave. I'll see if I can pick one up soon. Also, I have a question about connection btw the PS3, my TV and the receiver. I am still looking to connect the PS3's video to my TV through component cables but route the HDMI to the receiver for audio. My Sony projection HDTV has 1 DVI...
I have a PS3 and I'm looking to make use of the uncompressed PCM audio on the BD movie discs. Right now my receiver is an aging Pioneer which I bought 5 years back. It decodes DD5.1 and DTS but not PLII. Of course it does not have HDMI decoding. When I turn on the PCM option in BD movies like...
There seems to be 2 versions of "Where Eagles Dare": 1. The first one has the "Clint Eastwood Collection" title on it 2. The 2nd one has no "Clint Eastwood Collection" title The 1st one was released in 2003 while the 2nd one was released in 2005. I was wondering if they both sport the...
What has HBO got to do with hating Sellers? This movie was a collaborative movie between BBC and HBO and it was based on Sellers' biographical book by Roger Lewis. If anything, blame Lewis for Sellers' "bad press".
I'm looking to buy a plasma TV and the difference in price for the same product on the web and at a B&M store is incredible. I was wondering if anyone here has had experience buying from the web and which are the better ones. Thanks a lot!
Greg, I just upgraded my Ensemble IV system for: 1. L/R : M60 2. Center: MC300 3. Surround: S100 4. Subwoofer: 8S I should be all set for........a year!
Thanks for all your input, guys! After listening to the Centerstage, is has a deeper bass and is fuller which is not what I am looking for. The MC300 is crisp and clear, great for movies. The Centerstage was on clearance at $99 but I decided to go with the MC300. Would have gone with MC400...
Since we're on the subject of center channels, would someone be able to provide their experiences with the Cambride Soundworks MC300 vs. Centerstage? Also, is it imperative that the cneter channel be always on top of the TV? If I were to place it on top of my entertainment system, let's say a...
Coincidentally, I was just looking at the M50's and S100's to upgrade my current CSW Ensemble system. I will most probably drop by the showroom tomorrow to get a good listen. Thanks for the comments here.
I just saw them at Best Buy during lunch and they are really huge in size. I might have a problem fitting them as surrounds in my current setup. Soundwise, I was not blown away. I have a Cambridge Soundworks HT set now and the S36's did not make me want to upgrade immediately.
Hi there, The JBL S36IIPM's, are they suitable for both front channel AND surround channel speakers? Can you put the same type of speakers in both front and surround channels? Thanks! JT
If you go to dvdtown.com there is a review of it there. The film is only about 100+ minutes long plus 2 hours worth of bonus material. Looks like a long and extensive list of extras.
I found Larry David's comedy "Sour Grapes" in the bin. Didn't pick it up but just to let everyone know who is interested. I did pick up "Mosquito Coast" and "Victory" (both anamorphic WS).
