I am having ceramic tile installed in our house, and have been wondering if it's ok to run speaker wire under it. I have no way to run my surrounds through the attic, so this seems like the only way. Has anyone done this? What are some other possibilities to get my surrounds hooked up? Thanks, Mike
A buddy of mine just got Brighthouse HD service and the tech told him not to waste his time using the DVI cable he bought and to just go with component. Is there much of a difference between the two? He has the Sony 51" 510 series. Also, his channels up to around 70 or so are grainy and crappy...
I can't imagine being anywhere else but here. I've been at the same job since I was 20, I am now 31. Although the job sucks, I would really miss it if I were to leave
Dammmmit! I have been trying to decide on speakers for a few weeks now and after this review, I said to myself, "buy the Fluance SX package". I get my card out, go to fluance.com and guess what? 6 to 8 week lead time. The money I've been waiting for just became available yesterday, isn't that...
Thanks, Chad. As a matter of fact, I had that down as an option for awhile, but couldn't see the $500-700 for a sub in the near future. I was actually considering that package along with the Dayton 10", but that would be over my budget as well.
I've been doing a little research, and finally (hopefully) settled on the following deal Vanns. com has going on right now. They offer the HK AVR 230 and JBL SCS160SI 6.1 speaker package for $754 shipped. Any comments before I buy? This is a little more than I have to spend (have to beg the...
Can I give you an even $1000 for them? I'm still saving $999.99 off retail, right? Can I do a pickup? I live in Florida, but I'd drive 3 times the distance for this setup
Might be the age of your player. On the other hand, could of been fingerprints on the disc. Happened to me the other day, cleaned the disc, normal picture.
90-100 mhz for component switching? I was thinking of getting the Onkyo 601, which has 50 mhz. I read HD needs only 37 or so, should I switch to a receiver with 100?

Oh, maybe that is why their are none available to buy. I'm glad I found this out first. Thanks for the info. Hopefully this will get fixed soon, 1080P has to look awesome
Has anyone seen this television? I was reading up on it and noticed it's the first 3 chip LCOS RPTV capable of native 1080P. If you've seen one in action, is it as good as it sounds?
