I am only getting a hum from my dvd player when hooked up with the coax or optical cable. It is really starting to piss me off.

Ok tried switching outlets, ran an extention cord across the room for the dvd p[layer, still get hum. Tried a totally different dvd player and still get hum.

No hum from standard hookup of l/r channels with patch cords. The whole system is hookup to amonster power bar 1000(dvd, tv, xbox, reciever and Cd player).

I tried switching from optical to coax. With the coax there is still a slight hum but not as bad as with the optical cable. Just to test out the optical cable, I hooked it up to my cd player and get no hum there. I am using a subwoofer cable as the coax for the data stream since I do not have...
