Hey guys, just a quick one. I was just wondering if I were to calibrate my tv (brightness, etc.) with NTSC digital video essentials, would it also be calibrated for PAL? Or does PAL require different brightness and contrast levels, as examples? Hopefully that makes sense. Thanks :).

Well, based on the last chat, I don't think Fox any concern regarding the missing previouslies. But how they'll react to the shows themselves being snipped, I do not know. I know it doesn't do R1 buyers any good, but I'm glad that I'm sticking to R2 and R4 for Angel....

Perhaps the delay is due to syndication or something similar? I'm not in the U.S., but I often hear about this syndication business. Perhaps releasing two seasons are year means that the dvds have caught up to the current episodes airing on syndication?

I had some trouble with the first couple episodes of R4 Buffy season two on my PAL XBOX. I realise the XBOX can't output progressive video (nor do I have a tv that accepts it), but the problem was similar to what I've seen referred to as 'combing'.

Hi all. I was told about the Warner chat around the time of the Fox one. If memory serves correctly it was supposed to happen around the 25th. The thing is, I haven't heard a thing since and so I've begun to wonder if it's still happening... Any clarification would be much appreciated :D.

I agree with the comments throughout this thread about supply meeting demand. It looks like a good amount of people will sell them for at least twice what they paid, but I wouldn't be suprised if - after a few more days - it turns out there were a few to many opportunists.

I'd tune into any of those channels. Beats the primetime we get here in Australia, which is simply couples renovating houses. On the odd occassion we get good shows like Buffy, it will be at 11pm at night. Thank god for tv on dvd is all I say. It's become the only way I will watch tv shows...
