i was wondering which of these everyone has and what you think. the feature set of both is a pretty close comparison. i have polk speakers and a 13x19 theater. please help me choose, as i am having a hard time.thanks to all who reply.

sean, osd and composite to s video conv are two must haves. also want smooth, clean power. the auto speaker setup would be nice too, but not overly important.

I HAVE THE DIGITAL RADIO SHACK MODEL AND IT IS VERY ACCURATE. MUCH BETTER THAN THE AUTO CALIBRATION IN MOST RECEIVERS.

I LIVE IN MOBILE, AL AND WE HAVE A LOT OF LIGHTNING. I HAVE USED THE MONSTER HTS800 FOR ABOUT TWO YEARS AND IT IS VERY RELIABLE. BELKIN PRODUCTS ARE GOOD TOO. HAVE ONE OF THOSE ON MY COMPUTER.

i am using the monster mb400 and couldn't be more pleased. it comes with a y-connector and greatly improved the sound of my polk psw202. got it from bestbuy for 60.00 bucks.

get the onkyo 701 model. it is a changer and has a direct digital path for the audio. also has a very good picture for the money. it is also prog-scan.

I AGREE WITH RALPH. I LISTENED TO THE ATHENA'S TOO AND I LIKED THEM BETTER THAN THE JBL'S. THEY SOUNDED SO SMOOTH AND VERY CLEAR. I OWN POLK SPEAKERS AND I LOVE THEM, BUT I WOULD PUT THE ATHENA'S UP AGAINST MY POLKS OVER JBL ANY DAY.
