That's almost certainly Covington Cross. It had a pretty decent cast, if I remember correctly. Nigel Terry and Cherie Lunghi from "Excalibur", plus Ione Skye and Glenn Quinn. Good stuff.
I'd certainly pay for Nash Bridges and Martial Law (the first season, at least). Thinking back on it, I've enjoyed practically any series developed by Carlton Cuse (who also did Brisco County Jr.).
What I remember from the pilot was that it ran in a time period shorter than two hours. It seems to me that when they split it up into two one hour episodes, there were additional scenes included.
That's classic deflection. Rather than try to defend the point on its merits, turn the attention to an episode of Classic Trek. I don't remember anybody trying to defend that particular episode that Eric mentioned in the first place. Yes, other science fiction series were guilty of some of...
To address the actual topic of this thread first, the novelty of Galactica 1980 would make it tempting for me to buy it. I always found it weird to see actors like Kent McCord and Barry Van Dyke in the Galactica uniforms and settings. Plus, as many have commented on, most episodes were laughably...
What I want to know is, assuming the set sells well enough to warrant a release of the final 2 seasons, will the season 3 set contain the X-Files "Millennium" episode that served as a conclusion to the series?
They could split this into two sets. They should do a gift set with a shirt in a box designed like the alien costume box, with the DVD case removable in the same way as the instruction book (though not sliding out as easily while carrying it through the desert :) ).
Don't forget the Scooby Doo Movies episode that crossed over with the Jeannie cartoon. Actually, thinking of that reminds me of the crossover with the Addams Family, one that would be neat to see on any Addams Family release.
Has anybody gotten a definitive answer on the possibility of an Infernal Affairs 3 DVD re-release with a proper audio sync? I've been holding off on picking up the disc because I'd much rather have a version where the audio problem has been corrected.
New Line is currently developing a Shazam! feature film. If it actually happens, I'd say there's a good chance that at least some of the episodes of the old TV show would start appearing on DVD, especially if Warner does have the rights.
I think those two are special cases. With "My Big Fat Greek Life", they could fit the whole thing into one low-cost set and market it to those who enjoyed the movie (and perhaps never sampled or stuck with the tv show). The Jake 2.0 disc was actually meant as a promo to get people interested...
I have to back up the positive feelings for the older Disney live-action films. Additionally, having grown up in the seventies, I have very fond memories of going to the family theater in town and watching Disney's slate of live-action films from that era: The Apple Dumpling Gang, Unidentified...
I'd buy season sets, even if they have to replace the music. Didn't Cannell have to replace some of the music in Wiseguy for DVD? And I know that a good deal of the music for Crime Story had to be replaced. In the case of Greatest American Hero, apart from the Joey Scarbury theme music, I...
I'd buy this, but just the first season. They tried to turn it into Star Trek in the second season and it just didn't work. And I guess I'll be the odd one out and proclaim that I think Battlestar Galactica has aged worse than Buck Rogers. This may come, though, from Buck having been from the...
I'm afraid I fall into the category of ALL the Trek sets being overpriced. I understand that Paramount wants to milk it for all its worth, but they'd seriously increase their sales if they lowered the MSRP on all these sets. As is, no matter how much I love NextGen and DS9, there's no way I'm...
I bought Vol. 1 when it came out last April and have eagerly been awaiting the completion of the series, but have heard absolutely nothing coming from Fox about when to expect it. Has anybody heard anything?
