Streem Speaker Experience (or at least knowledge)?

Hey Dalton I totally agree about Axiom. I searched, and listened, far and wide before buying. They are just phenomenal. The only thing I'm questioning is not getting the QS8's for surrounds. At the time it was a money thing, and generally I do prefer monopole rears, but I've heard so many...

Streem Speaker Experience (or at least knowledge)?

I understand your upgrade. I ultimately decided to quit trying to cheat reality by trying to get something special for nothing. Never did find any glowing reviews of Streem other than how cheap it was. Like you, I wound up with Axiom (M60's, VP100, M2i's for surrounds). I absolutely love them...

    Cambridge Sound Works

I bought one of the original Ensemble sub-sat systems (the one with the two seperate woofers) 10 years ago, and thought they were fine until used them for home theater. The Surround II and Center Channel Plus sound thin and weak with a DVD. Now the sats are used with a different sub as my...

Streem Speaker Experience (or at least knowledge)?

Hi Gang. I've run into the website for Streem speakers and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them. The price/product ratio seems to put them in the Fluance catagory. Is it another case of "too good to be true", or a real bargain? Their website seems just a bit vague to me.

    Opinions on Rockets

Thanks so much Alex. Actually I ordered from the new production of factory seconds (that apparently nobody can find the flaws on), so they won't arrive for a couple of weeks. It was worth the 10% savings. Hope you are staying warm in Alaska. We're chilled to the bone here in Florida, on a...

    Opinions on Rockets

Well, I would have called AV123 today, but their website wouldn't open to get model numbers or their phone number. But honestly, by then I had pretty much decided on Axiom. I called them this afternoon and had a very productive conversation about my needs and what they could do for me. Perhaps...

    Opinions on Rockets

Thanks Mike. I'm going to call tomorrow. And I totally agree with you about getting it right the first time. That is exactly why I'm spending SO much time and energy researching and questioning everything. I can deal with the extra expense if the product will make me happy for the next 10 years...

    Opinions on Rockets

I agree about eBay. I buy most of my DVD's there, and some of the shipping charges are just insulting. Of course they don't get my business. Perhaps the costs are justified for the Rockets. It certainly seems like everybody loves them. The other brands I've been looking at in the same price...

    Opinions on Rockets

Didn't realize that I'd get such a dialog started. Unfortunately, I did miss the big sale on the RS250's and RCS100. Mike, do you really think they might still be willing to deal? It seems to me that a great way to alienate potential customers is to have sales with no expiration date. And yes...

    Opinions on Rockets

In my ongoing search for a killer home theater package at my price, I have seen many good comments on Rockets. I've noticed the RS250/150/RSC100 combo for a good price on their website, but choked at the shipping cost. Do they justify a $116 shipping charge? Would another system perform as good...

    Crutchfield

I'll chime in also with a positive Crutchfield note. Bought my last car CD receiver and speakers from them. The detailed instructions on how to dissect my CR-V dash for installation made the purchase more than worth it. Their closeouts can be very good deals.
