Has anyone come up with a solution to the problem with the some pre/pros (B&K ref 50, Outlaw 950, Rotel 1066) locking onto the digital signals (DD or DTS)i.e. with DVD's it does not pick the signal up right away... a couple of seconds elapse before the audio starts or when you skip around to...
Did B&K fix the digital audio dropout problem I've been hearing so much about? Is this problem only on sources hooked up to the coaxil and toslink input/outputs?
Do you have to hook a DVD player up with an analog connection to avoid this?
Is the B&K ref 50 really worth $1,200 more than the Outlaw 950 ? Is the sound that much better? Features seem about the same. They both seem to have their quirks about them.
I was considering purchasing this preamp. But....I read a lot of mixed reviews regarding whining & clicking noises with the B&K Reference 50 preamp. Is there a problem/issue with this preamp and is it being addressd by B&K. I know they reduced the price by a $1000 But it's still a lot of cash...
I read somewhere that B&K was reducing the B&K ref 50 by a $1000. Anybody hear about it? I was in 6th Ave Electronics today (who is an authorized dealer)and they said they know nothing about it. Just curious... Thanks
Anyone know when the next generartion of the Denon AVR-3803 is coming out? I presume it will be an AVR-3804. Will it have DPIIx ? What other upgrades/improvements if any? Thanks
I am running a 5.1 system. I am currently using the AVR-3300 in my system with an Outlaw 750 power amp and B&W 600 series speakers. I am considering upgrading to the AVR-3803. Most of the DVD's availabe are Dolby Digital and DTS which the AVR-3300 decodes. Aside from the additonal surround modes...
