My neighbour has used his Studio 60's with a Yamaha rx-v995 for a couple of years and they sounded great. He just upgraded to the RX-v2400 and he's even happier. I've got monitor 7's and right now use a HK avr110 and I find they sound great also. (Moving up to a Denon 3803 shortly though)
I never read the books but enjoyed all 3 movies. What I didn't get was why Frodo had to leave at the end. Did I miss something? I may have to go back and watch ROTK but to me I liked the Two Towers the best.
Both of these units can be had for about the same price. Does anyone know if the HK has component video conversion? This feature could be the deal breaker. Thanks!
Thanks for the help. I was set to get the Yamaha RX-V3300 but just listened to the Denon 3803 and was nery impressed. Can't seem to find many reviews on the 3300. Any one out there have one? From the company brochure it looks very impressive.
:) Thanks to the Seahawks I can upgrade my search for a new HT receiver. I'll pass on the Yamaha's 2400 and 1400. I'm now looking at the HK avr 525, NAD t762 or the Denon 3803. For another $200 US I can get the HK avr 7200.(I've got a friend coming up from New Jersey for Christmas and he says...
James, I went to the audio store I bought the speakers at and listened to them with a NAD t752. I could hear a big difference (NAD's 80wpc compared to HK's 40). Got me thinking about upgrading to this receiver but also checking out the Yamaha rx-v1400.
James I just upgraded my system to Monitor 7's up front with Titans in the back and I find my HK 110 a little on the weak side.Would love to get the 525 or 7200if they weren't so darn expensive up here.
I was just introduced to this forum and I love all the info you can find in here. Here's my problem...I just upgraded my HT speaker system to Paradigm Monitor 7's (front)Titans (rear) 350 (centre) and PDR-12 sub. I find my HK 110 just isn't making full use of these larger speakers (had the...
