This is a very vague question. It will depend alot on the what the source is. IF you have a good sound card and a great speakers you might notice a difference. If you don't have an amazing sound card and speakers then I would just get some regular RCA cables. Don't get the crap ones, just get a...
I just started a HT systme about 3 months ago. This will be going in a dorm suite and then an apartment. I am currently a senior in high school and work and best buy, so I got some pretty good deals on my TV and Klipsch speakers. I have the Sony 27" FS210 TV with the matching silver stand for...
I am sure it is just the layer change. I can deal with it, no big deal. I was just wondering if there was a problem with my player. I am pretty sure it only happens once per disc, I just watch movies alot and imagining that it happens more then once in a movie. Thanks guys. One more question...
I recently purchases a Pioneer 563A dvd player and it seems to skip when viewing dvds. These are brand new dvds, and it only does it once or twice a movie and always in the same spot. I heard that it is becuase it is switching layers on the dvd or something. Is this true or what is wrong?
this may be a stupied question to ask but since I have been reading the forums, how much better are the klipsch then the JBL NSP set. I have listened to klipsch and I know I like them, but have not listend to the JBL. My final decision on the fronts is the SB-2's with the SC-1 center and I am...
hmmmm, Chris says the SS-1's as rears where as everyone else has suggested the SB-1's. I really respect Chris's opinions on klipsch though becuase he has owned them before. Can I ask why or why not to get the SB-1's or SS-1's as rears? Also I want to keep the cost down and since I have a STF-2...
I get the SB-1's for $100, the SB-2's for $140, and the SB-3's for $180. Those are all prices for the pair. I get the SS-1's for $160. I also get the SC-1 for $140. I was planning on getting a pair for Sb-2's, the SC-1, and the SB-1's for surrounds. What do you guys think?
I work at best buy and have finally decided on klipsch speaker. I am not sure to get the SB-2's or Sb-3's as mains. I will get the SC-1 as the center channel. I am also not sure the get an actual surround speakers or just get the SB-1's as the rear surrounds. I will power them with an HK225 if...
I have built a HT system for my dorm and have a ventriloquist system already, I am very happy with the STF-2 but I am looking for a little more then sats can offer. I don't have enough money to purchase a pure bookshelf 5.1 setup. So I am wondering how the JBL S38's just as 2 fronts channels...
I noticed the problem when a plane was flying in a movie. My parents have 8 year old B&W floor standers, dual speaker center channel, and paradigm surrounds. I feel with my new setup that I am not getting the amount of midbass I would like. I know its not fair to compare the 2, but I am just...
I am also very seriously considering the HTM-200. My main question is if only 2 channels off excellent speakers, will be better then the ventriloquist.
Alright I have purchased a sony 27" TV, a STF-2, Harman 225, Pioneer 563A, and the ventriloquist system. I am very happy with everything except the speakers. I was brought up with B&W speakers and I think I was just expecting to much. I know they are suppose to take care of the midbass problem...
I already have the Ventriloquists on order but they haven't shipped yet. Should I cancel and get the JBL NS-P1II or keep the hsu verntriloquist vt-12. I don't understand why the sats on the ventriloquist are 1 way. But after hearing so much great stuff about HSU I decided to get then. This will...
I just received my STF-2 and was so excited to hook it up, I used the high level inputs. I haven't received my HK 225 yet, so I used the speaker wires from my Kenwood shelf system. When I turned it on, no LED or noise. I looked in the manual and it said the power cord is hooked up incorrectly or...
I ordered it from Comp USA in Chicago. They had 2 left before I bought mine. I got if for 349.99. I am so happy. I can't wait to hear a real sub. I do have a problem though. I don't know what speakers to go with it. I was thinking the ventriloquists. Would this make a good match you think? Or...
I am also considering some paradigm speakers. Possibly front Titans, rear Atoms, and not sure about the center. What do you guys think about this setup. Also how would it compare to the HSU Ventriloquist?
I will be going to college next fall and am going to build the best HT system I can get with my limited money. This system will be going in a dorm. Keep in mind I haven't purchased it yet and am looking for feedback on if I am going the right way with my choices. Start off with a refurb HK225...
also, I might be able to piece together some klipsch bookshelves but I can't get to expensive. Also these speakers will be going in a dorm and then an apartement. Thanks again guys
I am looking into getting a speaker system for my dorm. I work at best buy and can get the Klipsch 12sub and quintet system for $500. Or I could get the Ventriloquist VT-12 and the STF-2 sub. Which system would be better over all, and which sub is superior. I will be running these off a HK225...
also, I just checked the 3 stores Mark mentioned and the cheapest was ecost for $415, and off ebay directly from Harman Kardon you can get it for around $350-$370 depending on the perticular auction. What do you guys think?
thanks for the feedback mark, I will check out the other stores. I had just thought off ebay would be cheapest, plus it would be shipped directly from harman kardon. Harman Kardon is the one who sells the items on ebay. Anyone else have any feedback or any place to the the HK325 refurb for...
