Hi I have the Pioneer DV525 player for nearly 4 years now. I am happy with this player but lately after an hour or so playing the DVD movie I get distorted image blocks. Any ideas? I did clean the laser but the problem is still there. Is it time for a new player? Stelios

Hi If you have sound sync problems when you view a DVD, who is the culprit? The actual DVD,the receiver or the TV? If you hear the sound via the speakers of the TV (Receiver off) and there is no sync problems does this mean then that the problem lies either with the DVD player or the receiver...

You are right NickSo. You don't have to buy it. Once you calibrate your set up, thats it no use of it again. If by any chance you move you can borrow it again. I wish I could do this but unfortunately no one that I know has one so I had to buy one from ebay. I am still waiting for it to come...

Yes you are right Shiu. I am delighted. The ES range are well made and perform well. I am just mad of people putting them down so often in these forums. Ofcourse there are other receivers with more features and good quality out there but for the price I paid for my DA-1000ES I am very pleased...

I have the DA1000ES (DB790) and the quality of this machine is amazing! Do not take notice of people putting you off. Especially the guys that make the remarks "stay away from Sony" or "do not buy Sony" . For a few guys like them there are 1000 more that are happy with their ES Sony receivers...
