what the hell is wrong with blu-ray producers and their need to put 4:3 material in standard definition into 16:9 sd window boxing? we lose resolution/quality because of it. if your source material is 4:3 sd and your output will be sd also, then freaking do it in 4:3 and not 16:9 window boxing...

if this info from amazon.de is correct, then we are in for a treat. no details yet what specs the film will have but i have no doubt it will be 1080p, avc, dolby true-hd or pcm.

while the rest of the world enjoyed the first austin powers movie on dvd in oar, the u.s. and canada only got a open matted version of the film. the blu-ray however features the film in it's oar glory :D this is a good move from new line and i've no doubt many people will happy about this.
