I've been trying to see this for awhile, but the only DVD availble has no English subtitles (i'm not sure they would help that much, though), and the only version that does have subtitles is the VCD. As soon as a legit DVD comes out anywhere in the world, I'm on it.

i thoguht it was great overall... but have real mixed feelings over the CGI blood. Most of the time its so bad its distracting, there are few times when its just plain cool, but I promise you that the entire time you will be thinking "I know thats cgi blood", so in a way it takes away the movie...

Am I correct to assume that the Japanese DVD (that does have english subtitles) will be fully dubbed in japanese with no English speech? Please say that isn't so!

I have heard that the European and Japanese theatrical release versions of KILL BILL will show the crazy 88 fight scene in color, instead of black and white. Any truth to this? Does anybody know if the first DVD will have an option to view it in color, or if there is any truth to the rumor...

It is if you have a widescreen TV. When I played the criterion SANJURO on mine, I had to zoom in, and it cut off the subtitles.

I saw Bride with the White Hair tonight, and it was amazing! I have two questions about the newly released UK version of Touch of Zen. If you view it on a widescreren TV in zoom mode (since its not anamorphic), will the subtitles be cut off? How is the transfer compared to the Tai Seng release?

I have a progressive scan player hooked up to a 16X9 television with component cables. For some reason, I cannot view 4X3 movies in their OAR! It always stretches it to fit the screen. Any ideas? Thanks!
